Homecoming?

A/N

Im so sorry for the delay!! Ive been super busy for a couple of months and Ive been writing little parts of this chapter throughout :/ I hope you enjoy this chapter!

THIRD PERSON POV

Two weeks have passed from Y/N meeting Ranboo's mom and boy a lot happened. Ranboo started hanging out with Y/N more and more, occasionally with Tubbo and Tommy coming with but Y/N preferred otherwise. Y/N has done everything in their  power not to address their feelings for Ranboo but kept it quiet. Ranboo was attempting the same thing but did it a little less secretive but of course Y/N was oblivious. Tubbo and Tommy could see it from a mile away too. Homecoming was this Friday and Ranboo and Y/N still was trying a way to ask each other to homecoming.

Y/N POV

Homecoming proposals are rolling in and I still have no date. I'm saying that like I would accept anyones anyway. I sighed  "damn it" I muttered to myself, knowing I was right. It would never happen the way I wanted, Ranboo actually asking me is just a fantasy. I got up from my desk to get ready for school and I heard a buzz from my phone. Of course I scrambled to it, hoping the screen showed his nickname in my phone "Oreo Boy" from an inside joke between us when we got ice cream. I chuckled to myself and then looked. Oreo Boy's message started with "Hey! How'd you sleep?" Which made me giggle. I kicked myself and finally read the whole thing.

Oreo Boy: Hey! How'd you sleep? I hope you slept well. Do you mind picking me up today?
Y/N: good morning! I slept okay. How did you sleep? And when don't I ;P
Oreo Boy: true. I'll see you soon?
Y/N: definitely!

RANBOO POV

I saw Y/N's text and smiled. I closed my conversation with '✨Y/N✨' as they named themself in my phone and quickly got ready. It was fast since it was a hoodie, jeans and a mask, grabbing sunglasses on my way downstairs. I loved spending time Y/N. They were always so happy to see me. I smiled to myself and then thought about homecoming. Jeez, I really want to ask Y/N but I bet she'd say no. A cheesy sign with flowers doesn't sound up their alley. Maybe something more sentimental but they'd probably never go with me anyway.

I hopped in their car and they put on Lemon Demon. I smiled wide and since I showed them my favorite band, it's been playing nonstop. It was really cute. "Earth to Ranboo?" Y/N spoke up. I must've gotten lost in my thoughts "oh god how long have I been quiet" I blushed, completely embarrassed that I wasn't listening. "About two minutes. How are you? Are you okay?" They asked, clearly worried.  I smiled reassuringly "I'm okay! Don't worry Y/N. I'm just wondering if you're going to homecoming?" I asked, secretly hoping they didn't get asked yet. "Oh uh.. I wasn't planning on it unless someone asked.." Y/N admitted, clearly embarrassed.

Y/N POV

My stomach sank as I said that to him. God, I sounded pathetic. I glanced over to Ranboo, hoping he wasn't making fun of me and saw him smiling. "It's not funny.." I muttered and saw his expression change into shock. "No it's not funny! I-I just know someone who wants to ask you" he stuttered out. I was shocked. Was it his friends? Was it him?! I nodded without looking at him, trying to conceal my feelings.

Once we got to school, we went to our first class. It was a little awkward in science from the silence between Ranboo and myself. I felt like it was tense and not how we usually are. "So.. who wants to ask me?" The words slipped out of my mouth as we were working on book work. I was a bit shocked that I even asked him until I looked at his face. His face went beet red and he started stuttering.

RANBOO POV

What am I supposed to say? Oh right it's me and I wanna go out with you? I cursed myself quietly "I'll tell you soon" The words stumbled out of my mouth. They probably already know now! I finished up our lab and the bell rang. Thank god. I ran off to my next class with Toby and Tommy. I tell them everything that's been happening and surprisingly Tommy starts laughing his ass off. Toby elbowed him in the stomach and he sat back up "what?" I asked, clearly confused "just ask them" Toby said as Tommy calmed down. I nodded, knowing I had to do it sometime. Maybe during lunch I'll walk to the nearby store and grab flowers for them.

THIRD PERSON

Lunch reached and Y/N was very confused why Ranboo wasn't there so they asked the boys "Oh he's gathering materials to ask someone to homecoming" Toby grinned at the thought of him being all romantic to Y/N. On the other hand, Y/N had a sad, disappointed expression. They really were conflicted about if he was asking some person who is prettier than them, smarter than them, kinder than- "Y/N!" Tommy shouted to get their attention "Hm?" Y/N said and turned around to Ranboo holding a bouquet for Y/N.
