I dragged my feet back to my cottage feeling empty. My best friend is dead because of me. How can I go on knowing that?
I walked inside. Sitting on the workbench was the screwdriver that took Sonias life. The one I hid in this cottage so that no one would suspect me. It sat there. Almost like it was mocking me.
"ahhhhh" I threw the screwdriver against the wall with all my might. It bounced off the wall and lay motionless on the floor.
"hic" I let out a shaky cry before slowly sliding down the wall onto the floor. From there I let it all out.
"my fault" I muttered as I banged the back of my head against the wall "my fault my fault my fault my fault IT'S ALL MY FAULT!" I bashed my head against the wall at every word.
I stopped once I heard a loud knock on the door. My head was throbbing but I didn't care. I just wanted to forget.
I stood up and opened the door. Standing there was fuyuhiko.
"hey I heard screaming and I thought I should check on-holy fuck what happened to your head!" I reached up and touched my head. I could feel a wet liquid cover my fingers.
I stared at my now pink coated fingers "huh. I didn't even notice" I chuckled softly.
"how the hell do you not notice your fucking head bleeding!" he yelled as he grabbed my hand "come on dumbass. I'll clean it up"
*time skip*
"sorry for causing trouble" I muttered as he wrapped a bandage around my head.
"hey don't apologise for getting hurt kid. It happens to the best of us" he paused "I get that you're feeling upset. I was the same when peko.. anyway you can talk to me anytime. I'm here for you" he gave me a gentle smile.
I lost it and dived into his chest sobbing. I expected him to push me away but instead he held me close.
"shhh it's alright baby" he muttered as he stroked my hair "I've got you"
I looked up at him in confusion "did you just call me baby?"
His face turned red "s-shut up dumbass. I was just trying to confert you damn!"
"hehehe thanks fuyu" I giggled. I feel a little better.
Maybe things will be ok..
