Abby's POV
PRESENT
9PM. Excited nakong makita ulit si Sela sa library bukas para ituloy yung kwento niya.
FLASHBACK
"Abby, Abby--"
"Abby, gising."
"Mmm.." kusot ko sa mga mata ko.
"Baka andyan na yung librarian. Tara--"
Kaya ayun, tumayo narin ako.
Bukas na nga pero wala yung librarian. Lumabas narin kami.
"S-sige."
5PM. Class is over.
Pumunta ako sa library, expecting to see her again. At tama nga ako, makikita ko siya ulit sa parehong spot. She's busy reading a book.
Napatingin ito sakin nang makalapit nako.
"A-Abby." She said, adjusting her glasses. Parang di nya inaasahang makita ako ulit.
"What are you reading?." Tabi ko rito.
"Ah. Psychology book. It's about a schizophrenic teenager and a guy with multiple personality disorder." Sabi niya.
"Hmm interesting." Sabi ko lang.
"What are you doing here pala?." Takang tanong nito sakin tila di makatingin.
"I don't know."
"You don't know?."
"Uhm well, I-I was just thinking--m-maybe you could--you know, include me in your stories or something." Sabi ko, tila nahihiya.
"But you are in-nevermind."
"Sige na Sela please. Include me in your story. Or what if--we are together in that story? That would be great."
"W-what? Why would I do that? I mean you're not even gay and you have a boyfriend."
"Gelo's not my boyfriend. And besides, does it matter?."
"What do you want to happen?."
"What do you have in mind?." I said as I stared intently into her eyes.
She awkwardly looked away and said,
"Well,.." At doon na nga Siya nagsimulang magkwento. The library usually closes at 6pm kaya di nya natatapos yung story at most of the time nag-iisip pa Siya ng idudugtong.
But I was patient. Everyday nagkikita kami sa library at exactly 5pm.
Until one day,
"Anyways, anong nakain mo para bigla nalang iconsider na may relasyon tayo in my made up stories?. I mean it's not like you like me or something, right? I know that's not possible." Tanong niya.
"What if it is?." Sabi ko.
SILENCE
Ang totoo nyan, madalas ko na siyang nakikita sa campus even though the rest of the world consider her invisible.
I don't know, I guess her mysterious attitude really intrigued me in a way that I wanna hear her thoughts.
And so I did.
