While Phastos worked hard with a successful grin to make the bracelets, Gale found himself in the corner of the wall, trapped within the arms of Druig who stared deeply into his orbs. Both were lost as always. And neither of them did not care as always. The mind controller leaned towards him even further, their lips just inches away and Gale gulped when he felt the warm breadth on his lip.

"Promise me you'll stay safe?" Gale whispered. He knew that it was a stupid thing to ask especially before a battle which always had unforeseen troubles. But he needed some sort of affirmation. Something to give him motivation and look forward to after then battle.

"I promise you that I will do my best to take you out a real date after all this." Druig said, the sincerity in his low and raspy voice erupting butterflies in the other's stomach yet again. They smiled.

"Then I promise to go on that date with you."

And with that, Druig had smashed his lips onto Gale's, unable to wait any longer. The curly-hair's arms draped around the blue's eyed's neck while the latter's hand cupped his cheek and the other ran through his hair. Druig smirked and bit the other's lip causing him to gasp in surprise and allow his lover to slide his tongue into his mouth. Their faces flushed as their lips passionately moved in unison with the involvement of their tongues. The two finally parted to allow their breathless bodies to get the supply of air.

"I love you, my idiotic mind player."

"I love you too, my beautiful, beautiful darling."

The two grinned and made their way to the room they had met in for the time, hand-in-hand. They were ready for the battle and the supposedly promised date after it.

The place where the battle would take place was a beach with an electrifying and smoking volcano nearby. A perfect place to die in a heroic manner was what the anxious Gale repeated to himself. While the rest had taken off to the main area of the battle, Thena and Phastos stayed behind in the spaceship, all of them knowing well that Ikaris would go anywhere to stop Druig first and foremost. And that scared the targeted Eternal's lover.

Makkari had carried the Eternals one-by-one close to the volcano which could erupt any second. An apologetic smile made its way onto her face when she noticed Gale still clutching his mouth preventing his urge to throw up. It was not the time to be a coward with an easily sick stomach.

"It's time to put a god to sleep." Sersi stated, another electric charge pumping from the volcano.

The four clicked the bracelet stuck onto their wrist, Druig and Gale sending one another soft affirming smiles. Thin lines of golden formed around them similar to a warrior's armor. Druig spread his arms and closed his eyes, feeling the other three's energy seeping into him as they all levitated onto the air. After a few more seconds, his lids opened revealing the illuminated golden orbs and a blast echoed the area, a large ball-like shield forming around them. The lava boiling out of the ash mountain ceased to a stop, its wide opening slowly closing. The Celestial was falling asleep at Druig's control.

Gale gasped on suddenly being thrown onto the ground. His eyes widened when Druig also flung roughly to the ground, hissing in pain on being hit at the back with Ikaris's beams. "Druig!"

Ikaris landed to the ground and stomped onwards. "I should've done this five centuries ago." He fumed, bending and picking the grunting Druig by the throat before shooting high into the air.

"No. No. No." Makkari held the trembling and hyperventilating Gale close to her.

Ikaris threw Druig from the high altitude and adding onto the painful fall, a straight and blinding energy beam targeted straight at the falling Eternal as he collided onto the mountains with crashes and rocks probably piercing him.
