Chloe stares at Hailey with tears running down her face. The tears aren't from the physical pain but from the mental suffering.
"Why?" Chloe whispers.
Hailey is immediately taken aback. Chloe's reaction isn't what Hailey expected. Chloe isn't mad like Hailey predicted. Chloe is genuinely sad with tears streaming down her face. Hailey turns her head away, immediately regretting what she's done. Hailey bolts for the door. She doesn't listen to anyone's protests.
"Hailey wait!" Bella shouts.
Hailey is too far gone to answer. She gets into her jeep and speeds off. Hailey doesn't care where she ends up. She just needs to getaway.
