"Gye Boonok. Come with me," said Gyeokchan coldly in front of all the students in the service room. He walked over to Boonok and pulled her arm roughly out of the room.
"Wa-waeyo?" asked Boonok scared when they were walking alone in the hallway. Hearing the trembling of fear in her voice made Gyeokchan feel very guilty.
Gyeokchan released his grip from Boonok's arm. "Mianhe," he said softly without daring to look at Boonok.
Boonok was scared for a while, but hearing the man speak softly again like he usually does to her... Boonok felt a little relieved. "A-ani, gwenchana. It just hurts a little, but I'm fine," Boonok explained, not wanting Gyeokchan to feel guilty.
They walked side by side again in silence along the dormitory corridor. Perhaps what each of them heard was their own heartbeat. Which was beating so fast because the skin of their hands was touching each other. At first, it was accidental. But, in fact, both of them are reluctant to distance themselves until now.
