I'm so sorry if I did the same ending with the real author. They are still separated by death even here. But, about this part, I agree with her. This is the most realistic ending for them in that situation. This side story wants to complete the part that the author never told us. About their detailed feeling toward each other, how it starts and how it grows, and how their feeling changes them without they even realize. At least, they know each other feeling and proves it to each other. They can pray for each other happiness :")
And from this story, I also want to show her soft side. It's implicitly shown in the original series, but many people miss it. Both of them are the only ones that their family can lean on. They're being so stubborn because they only have themselves. To save themselves, so their family can live. That's why I make their soft side more explicit to show that they are also humane that can change for the better.
