The demigod's power | Chapter 22

Kris slowly opened their eyes to see you reading a book above them as Kris was resting their head on your lap looking up at the ceiling.

Y/n: Good morning beautiful.

Y/n lifted down her book and put it to the side before looking at Kris, with Kris just looking up at you.

Y/n: What do you want to do today?

Kris just shrugged as they sat up moving next to you and resting their head on your shoulder.

Toriel: Oh! You two are awake! I'm guessing you didn't hear what happened, someone broke into the library last night.

Y/n: The library? Odd place to break into.

Toriel: Yeah, but what's even more odd is that the robber didn't take any of the computers, or any of the valuable books, I don't even think the robber took anything which is good I guess.

Y/n: Oh, did they check the cameras?

Toriel: They did, but no matter how hard they looked they didn't even see the robbery, it's like it never happened.

Y/n: Huh, that is odd.

Toriel: If you're going out then be careful, the robber could be out there.

Y/n: We will.

Toriel: Have you had breakfast yet?

Y/n: No, this goofball has been asleep on me the whole time.

Kris just hid their face as they blushed and Toriel giggled, she walked off and came back a couple minutes later with two bowls full of cereal for both of you, and the cereal was Kris' favourite, cocoa puffs. Kris just hoovered theirs down while watching the TV and you just ate it calmly and slowly while continuing to read your book.

Toriel had left the house by now as she still had work to do and Asriel was still snoring in bed. Kris just watched the TV sitting next to you as you read the book and when you finished the cereal Kris took the bowl and took it to the kitchen which took you by surprise.

Kris came back and sat back down watching the TV again, but 5 minutes later as they commercials were playing Kris finally spoke up.

Kris: Why'd you do it?

Y/n: W-What? Do what?

Kris pointed to your eyes and when you touched your face you felt the small reading glasses on your face.

Y/n:...

Kris: Hm? Why? I thought you forgot about it.

Y/n:... You know how curious I can get.

Kris: But breaking into a library? C'mon Y/n, you're better than that.

Y/n:...

Kris: Just... don't do it again.

Your wings then glowed a bright blue instantly getting the attention of Kris and with you just looking away from them with your head on hand. Kris got up and went to the kitchen, and 5 minutes later they came back with a brownie they had been saving and stuffed it inside your mouth.

And when Kris looked at your wings they had instantly changed from blue to yellow making Kris smile a bit.

Y/n: Great, now I HAVE to brush my teeth.

You said teasingly as Kris snickered sitting next to you on the sofa.

Kris: But... what did that book say?

Y/n:... The truth... and how darkners can't come up to the light world...

Kris: Oh... why can't they?
