Chapter 39

"Are you alright besty?" Dari asked. I'm too preoccuppied that I didn't even recognize that we're now in tha airport.

I sighed.

"Is this about Seige? Or the one you'll see in the Philippines?" I gave her a confusing look. Ano naman ang makikita ko sa Pilipinas maliban na lang sa mga kamag-anak ko at si Dad. I miss daddy and I'm sure miss na rin siya ni Nico.

I even miss Miguelito and Kline. Hindi kami gaanong nakapag-usap noon ni Miguel bago ako umalis. Nagtampo ito sa akin alam ko..

"It's about Seige."I answered nang matapos na ang pangungulit nito sa taong posible kong makita ulit.

"Thought he's ok na with your decision?"

"That is what I thought. Pero tignan mo, hanggang ngayon hindi man lang nagparamdam."

"Baka naman busy sa casino? Hindi naman ordinaryong lalaki ang boyfriend mo Nix! Malamang busy lang iyon."

I don't know. Para kasing may-iba sa kanya. Bago siya umalis kahapon, bigla itong natahimik. Maybe he has a problem. After kasi niyang makareceive ng phone call kahapon hindi na ito masyadong umimik. Malalim ang iniisip.

"Alam mo besty, nag-aalala lang yung boyfriend mo. Kung sa ibang bansa ka pupunta baka hindi." Kumunot ang noo ko.

"He's worrying. He's scared. Uuwi ka ng Pilipinas, the fact na naroon ang lalaking minsang minahal mo at bonus pa na ama ng anak mo. "

I really don't get it. She's the one who's telling the word "minahal". Past na! Hindi na dapat maging issue.

"He has nothing to worry about. Hindi na ako babalik sa lalaking iyon kahit siya pa ang ama ng anak ko. I love Seige. He's there when I need him, there to love me, to make me feel like the only one, not only an option."

I nod. Totoo naman. I could never deny the fact that all the qualities kabaliktaran ng ipinakita ni Gio sa akin ay siyang hinanap ko sa isang lalaki. And Seige is now here. He's my light. He's the guy I trusted my heart with.

Nang makapasok kami sa airport at naghihintay ng flight namin ay halos hindi ako magkandaugaga. I really can't understand what I'm feeling..halo-halo ang nararamdaman ko.

I look at Nico who's playing with Dari. I'm getting paranoid. Something's really really wrong with me! Why am I even thinking these possiblities?

Na posible ko nga siyang makita ulit . Na kukunin niya ang anak ko. No! I'll make sure that he can't see any of our shadow. Kung kailangan pilitin ko si daddy na magpunta na lang sa ibang lugar habang nasa Pilipinas kami gagawin ko. I won't let anyone hurt my son even if he's jerk dad!

Nagising ako sa pag-iisip nang marinig ko ang anak ko.

"Dada!" He said then run. Sinundan ko ng tingin ang tutunguin ng anak ko and I am totalky surprise to see Seige.

"Thought you can't mate it po. Mimi so sad." Natawa nalang ako sa kadaldalan ng anak ko. Seige look at me.

"I'm not gonna let you leave without your Mimi's kiss. " sagot nito at matamang nakatingin sa akin. Napayuko tuloy ako .

Hindi ko namalayang nasa harapan ko na siya. Wala sa bisig niya si Nico at nakita ko ngang buhat na ito ni Dari.

"Hon.." he said. But I felt electrifying feeling whenever he calls me by our endearment.
He lifted my chin up to make my face closer to him.

"I thought..you're not--" nagulat na lang ako nang yakapin ako nito.

"I love you..I do.. susunod ako kapag natapos na ni Landon lahat sa Pilipinas. We'll exchange places. Please..wait for me."

I smile. Hindi ko mapigilang isipin ang sinabi niyang wait na para bang hindi ko kayang gawin.

"I love you..of course I'll wait for you." Ngumiti ito at bigla nalang akong siniil ng halik. Geez! Medyo nagulat ako dahil nasa public kami at ito ang unang beses na hinalikan niya ako sa harap ng maraming tao but then I was able to respond.

"Aw! Ang sweet! Besty tinatawag na flight nyo ni baby boy!" Biglang singit ni Dari.

"I love you Anica..mag-iingat kayo doon ok? Call me when you get there."

"I love you. I will. Ikaw ang mag-ingat dito! Huwag mambababae! Makikita mo!" Natawa ito. Hinawakan nito ang aking kamay at dinala sa labi para halikan.

"See you soon hon."He said.

I felt my heart broken again. This time..dahil magkakahiwalay kami ng isa sa pinakamahalagang lalaki sa buhay ko and I saw how hurt he is as well. I know he has this insecurities towards Nico's dad and I have to prove Seige that Gio is nothing but my painful past. There..I can even mention his name without the abnormal beating of my heart. I'm done with him.

While Seige is looking at the plane who's about to board, the plane where his girlfriend, Anica is, his phone vibrated. He wants to just decline the call but he knows he can't.

Kahapon..the one who called made sure na gagawin ko ang pinag-usapan namin. When I heard his voice, I felt like regretting the day when I asked help from him before.
Damn him! Tinawagan lang niya ako para ipaalalang hindi ko kailangang ihatid si Anica at Nico sa airport dahil hindi ko na rin naman daw ito makikitang muli.

I have no choice but to answer.

"Mr. Dela Vega! What took you so long to answer my call? Having doubts?" Said on the other line. I can't help but smirk.

"No. Of course not. Bakit ko naman gagawin iyon?"

I heard him laugh.

"Good to hear that from you. So..nakaalis na ba ang eroplano?" I froze. How did he know? Totoo nga bang pinasusundan ako nito?

" Of course I know! You think I'm stupid? Lahat ng kilos mo kasama siya alam ko! Well..except kapag nasa loob lang kayo ng bahay nila. I don't have that heart to intrude her personal space anyway. I just hope you're not doing anything that would really make me mad."

"She's expecting me to come for her and Nico. Kaya pinilit kong makapunta dito." I calmly said. Kahit pa sa loob ko ay gusto ko ng salubungin ng suntok ang lalaking ito. If only he's not in the Philippines, I'd give him the punch he deserves.

"Did she also expect your kiss?" Natigilan ako. Shit! Hindi lang talaga ako nakapagpigil kanina. That is because what I'm feeling for her us real and more than just a deal that this guy has offered me!

"And so If I say she's expecting it?" I just said.

"Damn you Dela Vega! I told you to just take care of her! I didn't tell you to make her fall! I didn't tell you to touch what's mine!"

Napapikit ako. Kapag natapos ko na ang lahat sa ginagawa kong plano makakabayad na ako sa pagkakautang namim sa pamilya nila. By then..masusundan ko si Anica sa Pilipinas, makakasama ko sila ni Nico. We'll be a family.

"I'm sorry." I just said. Sorry but I'm not sorry. I love Anica. No matter what he says, I'll make sure na handa akong haharapin siya.

"You'll only be forgiven if you finish the deal. Hinding-hindi ka na magpaparamdam at magpapakita kay Anica. You're role is done Seige Dela Vega once she steps here in the Philippines. And if instead your planning something against our deal, think well. Remember the billions you'd have to pay for your father's debt. " he said then ended the call.

Yeah..My role for him is done but my real role is just about to start.

I balled my fist almost crashing my phone.
