The Unwanted daughter

"Hey Buck" Bailey smiled at her big brother standing in the doorway 

"Bails what are you doing here? How'd you get here? How did you know where I was?" Buck started asking many questions out of confusion as he let his little into the apartment 

"Well, I'm here because mom and dad suck, I got here by multiple busses, and I knew where you were because the last past card you sent me had this address on is."  Bailey said fast and energetic 

Buck looked at his little sister with a smile it than faltered "What'd mom and dad do?"

Baile took a deep breath remembering everything that had happened and the reason she left "I got into a fight with mom and dad it got out of hand I stood up to mom and uh she hit me." Bailey explains avoiding all eye contact with Buck

Buck takes a deep breath compressing his anger toward his mother "I'm sorry Bailey you don't deserve that"

"Well, I'm that one that stood up mom thinking I had a chance it was my fault I should've never stood up to her" Bailey says walking around the house admiring it "You've cleaned up nice Ev I like it."

"Yea, this is actually my girlfriends place I'm just taking care of it for a little while she's traveling for a little bit" Buck said knowing Bailey was trying to change the subject he went along with it because he she would open up about it later

"Hey Buck, I'm ready to go" Bailey looks up at the voice recognizing it her lips immediately go into a smile 

"Maddie!"  Bailey basically screams out her big sister's name making Buck cover his ears Bailey runs to Maddie hugging her

"What are you doing here?" Maddie asks while wrapping her arms around her little sister and her and Buck share a happy look knowing their sister was back with them 

"Trouble at home, and I could ask you the same thing" Bailey says while letting go of Maddie 

"Trouble at home" Maddie says copying what Bailey said Bailey just shares a knowing smile knowing Maddie was talking about Doug

"So, where you guys headed?" Bailey askes looking up at both of her big siblings with a small smile on her face

"Well, Bails Maddy has her first day at work today as a 9-1-1 operator so I'm going to take her there and then go to work myself." 

"Well, I guess that means I can explore Los Angeles while you guys are saving lives." Bailey says with a big smile

"Yes, but as long as your safe and you check in with me and Maddie at least every hour and a half" Buck says playfully putting his arm around his little sisters' shoulders

"Whatever you say dad" Bailey said playfully rolling her eyes pushing her brother's arm off of her

"Alright well, we have got to go because I don't want to be late for my first day at work, so I love you Bails and I will see you later be safe." Maddie says wrapping an arm around Bailey and kissing the top of her head 

"I love you guys' bye" Bailey says as she hugged Buck 

The door closed Bailey took a look around the house enjoying that she was finally away from her parents, she walked to the bathroom and decided to take a shower considering she hadn't taken one for a few days. When Bailey gets cleaned and dressed, she takes a better look around the apartment noticing pictures of an older woman with reddish hair. She sets the picture down and heads over to the tv and lays down on the couch putting on a random movie Bailey slowly started to drift asleep.

Bailey woke up to violent shaking she had never felt this before, but she had a feeling she knew what it was when debris started crumbing off of the ceiling. Bailey knew it was an earthquake, Bailey ran to the closest table and pushed herself under it waiting for anything to fall on her when stuff on the counter and on the wall started falling Bailey closed her eyes scared of what was going to happen. It felt like forever but eventually the shaking had stopped Bailey had peeked her out from under the table to see how much damage was done to the apartment and surprisingly not much damage, she took a deep breath regaining her strength and composure and got out from under the table. Baile walked outside to see what it looked like and to see the damage until she heard a voice

"Help! Help!" A woman in her early twenties yelled Bailey ran towards the sound of the voice 

"Hey. Hey what going on?" Bailey asked quickly looking at the girl in front of her examining her to see if there were any outside injuries. Bailey has learned a lot of medical stuff due to Maddie teaching her before she left 

"M-my baby he's stuck under there. He's only 3 please I need you to help me" The woman stuttered out shaking Bailey slowly put her hand on the woman's shoulders 

"Okay, okay I will first what are your guy's names?" Bailey asked trying to remain as calm as possible truly though she was terrified this was the first time she had ever experienced something like this 

"I'm Ava and my son his name is Jackson" Ava said violently shaking Bailey put both her hands on the woman's shoulders and led her to the curb for her to sit down

"Alright I'm going to get Jackson but first I have to get some supplies" Bailey say as Ava shakes her head Bailey runs off to the apartment, she search's every inch for something that could be useful the only thing that she could actually find was two things of rope, but she knew that would work. Bailey runs to back to where the little boy was

"Alright so I want you to take these two things of rope take this one and tie it to that post and take this one and tie it to that post can you do that for?" Bailey instructs and asks Ava giving her the ropes and Ava did as she said

"What are you going to do?" Bailey asks still violently shaking 

"I'm going to tie both of these ropes around my waist, and you are going to lower me down when I get down to Jackson, I'm going to secure the other rope around his waist and then I'll tug on a rope and whichever one I tug on you pull up first. Got it?"

All Ava did was shake her head, by the time Bailey left to get supplies three more people had showed up to help get the little boy out of the hole he was in.

"Alright I want you guys to lower me down slowly and I will yell when I'm down" Bailey said as everyone started to lower her down. Bailey got to the bottom and yelled up "Alright I'm untying to look for him" Bailey said as she started to look are for Jackson "Jackson you down here buddy" Bailey said with a friendly voice so Jackson wouldn't be scared. She heard small cries and she followed the sound of them finding a little boy scrunched up in a ball in the corner.

"Hey buddy you Jackson" Bailey asks with a small smile on her face Jackson shyly nods his head "Your mom is looking everywhere for you why don't you come with me so we can get you out of here?" Bailey asks as she holds out her hand for the little boy, he hesitates at first, but he eventually takes Bailey scoops him up in her arms and walks back to the rope. "Okay I'm going to tie this around your waist and you're going to get pulled up, okay?" Bailey asks with a reassuring smile on her face he nods his head as she tugs the rope and Jackson slowly starts to get pulled up. Bailey could hear tears of joy coming from Ava and at the sound of it she smiled.

Bailey ties the rope around her waist as, she tugs on the rope as she was getting pulled up, she felt the rope shake she looked up and saw the ground shaking. It was an aftershock.  She tried to climb up the rope, but it was no good everyone holding the rope let go and Bailey fell debris falling right on top of her she felt pain shoot through her body, and she let out a painful scream.

Only one thought going through her mind "I'm going to die"
