Chase's POV....

Morning came and I wasn't woken up by my alarm clock but by screaming and yelling downstairs. I rub the sleep out my eyes and climb out of bed and shuffled downstairs. I get down there and see Brody standing in our foyer arguing with my mother "GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE ASSHOLE!!" my mother screams "She's my daughter too Cas you can't stop me from seeing my Kid" they stopped yelling when they noticed me on the stairs "Hey Son how's it going?" Brody says he looked drunk, he was always drunk didn't matter the time of day "I'm not your son and my mother wants you to leave so I think you should leave before I make you" I step off the last step and walk in front of my mother pushing her behind me "Son don't be stupid, I came to see my kid and that BITCH is stopping me" he emphasized the word bitch and at the moment I blacked out and I'm guessing I fucked him up because now I'm at the court house waiting to see a judge. I quickly send a text to my lady before they take my phone away...

A officer came to where I was waiting and takes my things and processed me for booking, I had been finger printed and had mugshots taking. I was being charged for assault and battery. I was then taking to a holding cell where a homeless man sat grinning at me. I took a seat on the opposite side of the cell and the guy just stared at me then he finally spoke "What are you in for Handsome? a pretty face like you shouldn't be in a place like this" he stood up and shuffled over and flopped down next to me the smell of urine hit my nose and I almost puke "I'm in for Murder..." I say as I look at him and smirk and he freaked and moved away. I chuckled and waited to be seen by the judge. I sat there for what felt like hours. I refused to eat or drink anything. I was giving a phone call and I didn't know who to call my mother was already here and I didn't want to call Leylani so I decided to make a smart move and call a lawyer "Hey Mr. Hues. I need your help" Yeah I called Lani's Dad he was the best lawyer in town and won all of his cases and besides he was going to be family so why the hell not "I'm in jail sir and I need your help" he asked for my location and said he would see me soon. I hang up and was taken back to my cell. Hours passed and I was finally being seen by the judge...so I thought "Carters you made bail" I stood up and was escorted out to the front of the station there stood my mother and Mr. Hues. He looked at me with disappointed eyes and then signed a few papers then my stuff was returned and we headed out of the station "Thank you sir" I say and he nods and escorted me to his car he opens the door for my mother and I slide in the back "Thank you Ethan, How did you know Chase was here" my mother asked "He called me and I came" he sighed deeply "We Hues take care of our family and Chase is now Family" he looked at me in the rear view mirror and smirked, well this is awkward. ME: I'll be at your place when you get home or I can come get you from after school?

I quickly stick my phone in my hoodie pocket as we were pulling into my driveway. My mother thanks Lani's Dad and gets out. I open the door but before I step out he spoke "Be at my house in 10 minutes we need to talk" he spoke sternly "I just texted Leylani, I promised I'd pick her up from afterschool" he turns to look at me "I said 10 minutes now go" I got out slamming the door behind me and he pulled out and into his driveway and went inside. I sighed and walked in my house my mother sat on the couch and cooed Sophie "Mommy missed you sweetheart" she kissed her all over her chubby face and Sophie giggles with excitement. I smiled the sitter collects her things "I'll be here tomorrow Miss" she spoke with her thick Spanish accent my mother nods and says goodnight and thanks her. I see her out and then run upstairs to change. I change and then headed back down "Mom, Mr. H wants me to come over" she nods I know, I'll be over in a few I'm going to change Sophie and I'll head over, I looked at her confused and then leave, I jog over and ring the doorbell Mrs. H opens the door "Hey sweetheart Ethan is in the office. It's the first door on your left" she steps to the side letting me in "Thanks" I walk in and head for the office. I knock on the door and he shouts that it's open. I walk in and he was on the phone talking to someone he points to the sofa and I sit down and waited "That's Perfect, he will be there on Monday morning. We will see you then. Have a great evening" he hangs up and spoke looking down at some papers "You have a court date Monday morning at 10am, It's nothing major they just need your statement that it was self-defense" I nod and he looked at me blankly "If this ever and I do mean EVER happens again you are absolutely banned from seeing my daughter, do you understand me" I nodded "Yes Sir" he spoke again "I have a lot of connections and I just saved your ass from jail time, your lucky your step father didn't sue or you would be seeing a serious situation" he looks at a few more papers then a few minutes later the door opens and Leylani comes in "OMG!!! Chase where the hell were you? school was torture without you. Hi Dad" Lani says waving to her father then plopping down next to me on the sofa "Your future Babies Father landed himself in jail today" Mr. H spoke and smirked, I quickly looked to Lani "You what?! what the hell did you do Chase?" she stood up and I stood also she grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the office. I heard her Dad chuckling softly as we left. As we left the office the front door opens and my mother and sister comes in "Jacks?!" she calls out "In here Cas" Lani's mother shouts out from the kitchen, she walks passed us and Leylani drags me upstairs and slammed the door behind us "Tell me everything Chase. Why the hell were you in jail?" she started to get undressed and I looked at her very much distracted, she pulls off her sweat shirt and she stood there in her red lace bra. I know she would do something stupid, I mean she was with Brody after all. Once I saw that everything was armed I went to my room and laid Sophie in my bed. I took off her little shoes and tucked her under my blankets, her chubby little face pouted but she never woke, Thank god. I grab a pair of basketball shorts and went in the bathroom to change. I brushed my teeth and climbed in bed, I pulled Sophie closer and kissed her goodnight and whispered to her "I won't let Nobody hurt You or Mom...I promise" I close my eyes and fall fast asleep....
