"Evelynn!" Max called out from the crowd, his long dark brown hair, matted into his chiseled jawline as he chased down a girl down the streets, bumping into people as he went.

It was during a time where people struggled to pay their way in the world by selling pheasants and dressing gowns in exchange for a gold coin to buy food and water with, it was difficult in the medieval times with the king demanding for much more, except for the fact that they had  each and every different breed of dwarven dragons at each forge to help the blacksmiths make their swords and shields, Fairies buzzed around the places like bees would have.

Max wasn't watching where he was going as he tripped over a pair of hooves the belonged to a centaur.
"I'm sorry sir" Max said.
The centaur said nothing and frowned upon Max as he stumbled back up to his feet and went back to chasing Evelynn.
Evelynn had long flowing hair, her face drenched in tears, that was however, similar to Maya's face, as she ran down into the woods.

"Evelynn stop" Max said as he finally caught up to her.
"no, don't come any closer!" Evelyn sobbed.
"Why?" Max said "I know you won't hurt me" he said now getting closer to her, his fingertips just touching her cheeks, but as his fingers lightly brushed her cheeks her human pink skin softly blended into mix colors of green, brown and orange, exposing scale like features to the touch of his hands.
"It doesn't scare me that your a siren" Max hushed.
"Then you must know why we can not be together" Evelynn sobbed, turning her back.
"But why?" Max begged.
"Because I'm an original siren, we are born different and not marry men like you!" she said in anger. "I can never birth our child, a child has to be pure blood for me to birth it"
"is this what it is?" Max said. "Then it's ok, all I know is that... I want you, just...you" He took Evelynn by both hands, holding her head steadily as he leant in for a passionate kiss.

Suddenly the sound of an arrow struck through the air and into Max's chest.
"we do not let humans conquer our weakness"  A bold voice boomed from the forest, Evelynn turned and looked to see her father taking charge of an army.
"Join us Evelynn, so we can get our world back from those pesky humans"
All Evelyn wanted to do was sink to the ground and mourn over Max's dead body, but doing so would allow her father to kick her out of the tribe.
"They are not like that" Evelynn said. "give them a chance, I know they are flawed, but if you give them your time-"
"I have given them time!" Her father growled.
"You will meet us at the gates at noon" Evelynn nodded her head in agreement, but had a plan to lie to her father and go behind his back to the counsel.

She didn't want to do this as her father was her only family, but she had no choice, she couldn't let the world die in vain.
Quickly she ran off out of the woods to the find the siren counsel, she knew that her father would rebel after her mother got killed by a human.
It was an honest mistake, her mother Jasmine was on her way home when a drunk man came into her, Jasmine tried to run but the drunk man had other intentions that didn't go his way, he got mad and then... Well, you know how to the story goes.
"Argh!" Evelyn winced as she tripped over an over grown root from a tree, her face landed in the leaves beneath her, and her head into a rock.
Quickly she got up, her vision began to blur and her breathing unsteady, she touched her head to feel something wet and sticky, but when she looked at her hand, her fingertips were covered in blood.

Evelyn shook off the feeling and kept running, she ran over the bridge and through the big wooden doors to where all twelve original leaders sat at the round table discussing their daily issues, but there concertation was now broken now that Evelyn had burst through the door.
All twelve pairs of eyes were now set on Evelynn, who had she had now startled.
"What is the meaning of this!" Amethyst boomed. Amethyst was the leader of the counsel, she had a fiery attitude but great war tactics, and always being one step ahead of her enemy's.
Her sleek long hair smoothed down between her shoulder blades, glaring at Evelyn with her deep purple eyes.
"It's... Its my" Evelyn felt like a hundred eyes were starring down at her, making her feel uncomfortable.
"Larion killed Max." Evelyn sobbed. "and now... Now he's going to attack the humans, he's going to bring war on them!"
The rest of the counsel exchanged horrifying glances thinking about the consequences that Larion's action would conflict, they began to mumble to each other 'how is this possible?' 'I thought that Jasmine lived?' 'what are we to make of Larion'
" Silence!" Amethyst shouted, echoing the room around her.
"we have tried for years to reason with the humans, let alone, our people too. This can not go on" Amethyst said. She took a a deep breath, knowing the next words that were going to come out of her mouth, wasn't exactly going to be easy.
