Your POV:
I walk down the halls, my face probably all tired. I mean, I was called in for the night shift suddenly because another guard fell ill and they had no backups, so here I am. I enter the guard room and sit down on the couch, rubbing my temples in an attempt to subdue my headache.
3rd POV:
"Hello [F/N]-kouhai." You suddenly hear a voice, and look up to see Seitarou. He doesn't look as tired as you, probably a regular on the night scene. "Seitarou-senpai." You smile back, albeit less energetically than him. "You must be the emergency help. I told Hajime it's a bad idea to list you and to just let you sleep, but your way of handling Jyugo made him put you up first." He says sheepishly, sitting down beside you. "Hey, I don't mind-" you start, but are stopped by the urge to yawn which you involuntairly obey. This makes Seitarou chuckle a bit. "Well, if you need anything, I'll be at the monitor room. See you." He waves at you, and leaves quietly as a mouse.
You lean back on the couch and tell yourself that you'll just shut your eyes for a moment and go patrol. Big mistake. As you shut your eyes, the inviting sensation of rest pulls you in deeper, and you fall asleep.
You're startled awake by a poke to your side, and open your eyes to see two eyes staring back. One is a bright orange, other a light blue. You'd recognize these changing eyes anywhere. "Jyugo!" you growl, sitting up. "Hey guard. I didn't expect you to sleep in my spot." He huffs. "Your spot?" You shoot back, too sleepy to add a remark. "Yeah. I sleep here because the guys are annoying! One laughs in his sleep, another snores and last grinds his teeth." He complains, rolling his eyes. Your mind is clouded by sleep, and so you don't tell him to go back to his cell. "Alright, just don't wake me." You say and scoot over, before shutting your eyes. He's surprised, but slowly climbs on the couch besides you and awkwardly lays down.
As you fall asleep, the male gets curious. Unlike Seitarou, you don't ever show any vulnerability. And unlike Hajime, you don't get frustrated with him even though he disobeys, you don't hold a grudge. So he slowly reaches out to touch you, and his hand moves to your head. He pushes your guard cap aside and gets his hand in your [H/C] hair. It's rather soft. The strangeness of you being so calm near him keeps Jyugo on going, slowly touching your face. His hand runs over your ear, his index finger slowly pressing down on it to feel the squishiness. He only does so briefly, then his hand moves to your neck. His breath is quicker at the risk of the situation, waking you up could very well doom him. His hand slowly moves down to your chest, which isn't muscular, but thanks to the training it's stronger than his own. His eyes dart to your face as you breathe out, but he calms down again when he sees you still calm and sleeping. Jyugo's mind fills with the need to confide in you, to him you're an authority he feels he can trust. Still, he's hesitant about it.
His heart beats quicker as his mind races more, and he slowly presses his ear against your chest to hear your slow, strong heartbeat. Hesitation slowly melts away, and Jyugo makes himself comfortable with his head on your shoulder. Maybe he could try to befriend you more: You could help him, right?
. . .
The door opens quietly as Seitarou walks in to check on you, and stops in surprise at the sight before him. You're sitting up at the couch, your eyes shut in sleep. Still, there's Jyugo rested against your side, his head on your shoulder. The prisoner is also asleep, his chest moving up and down slowly as he breathes. Seitarou stares at the scene for a moment, before shutting the door once more.
When you wake up the following morning, it's alone. Still, you jolt up, alarmed by your lack of work. You pray that Hajime didn't notice, and dart out the staff room.
