The aroma of Tom Yum Soup and grilled pork made Ohm drooled. He couldn't wait to taste the delicious Thai delicacies he ordered for himself. Bowie, on the other hand, ordered herself a Western dish of fish and chips because she wasn't a fan of Thai food that much. Being born from a wealthy and privileged family, Bowie was raised in a Westernized household where her parents often cooked pastas and stews.
"Let's eat!" Ohm grabbed his chopsticks and started to flip the grilled pork to make sure they're already cooked before eating. His mind suddenly took him back to when he was filming a scene with Nanon for Bad Buddy where they were eating grilled pork together. If only Nanon could join him today...
Bowie noticed Ohm was sighing and it caught her by surprised. Usually people sigh because they were not feeling good or that there was something on their mind. "Hey, Ohm. Is everything alright?"
Ohm didn't realize he was actually wandering to somewhere else but his food. He quickly shook his head and threw his girlfriend a smile before he proceeded to eat.
When his chopsticks almost reached the grilled pork he was about to take, his phone suddenly rang but he refused to pick it up when he looked at Bowie who was looking at him.
Ohm ignored the phone call and started eating the food while enjoying the great taste of grilled pork. A few seconds later, his phone rang again and it made Bowie felt uneasy. Bowie wanted Ohm to pick it up.
"I think you should take the call. Maybe it's urgent?" Bowie said.
Ohm looked at her and felt sorry that he had to pick up the call when they were actually having a good time together. Ohm's phone screen showed one of his friends contact, Chimon.
This lil shit! Why is he calling me?! I am literally on a date right now!
With frustration, Ohm touched the green button and received immediate response from Chimon saying, "OHM??! WHERE ARE YOU?!"
"I'm on a date, you asshole?! Why do you call?!"
"YOU'RE ON A DATE?! ARE YOU WITH BOWIE?!"
"YES, YOU BASTARD!"
"DIDN'T YOU KNOW?!!" Chimon wasn't breathing properly and it made Ohm felt uneasy and breathless too. What the fuck is going on with this guy?!
"KNOW WHAT?!"
"NANON GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT!!"
The moment those words reached Ohm, he was stunned. His throat felt dry and he was all of a sudden nauseous. He almost couldn't get a grip of what just happened and he couldn't believe what his friend Chimon just told him.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! IF THIS IS A PRANK, THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT THE RIGHT TIME, MON!!"
"WHY THE FUCK WOULD I MAKING FUN OF NANON GOTTEN INTO AN ACCIDENT, YOU ASSHOLE?! IT'S TRUE! HE'S IN THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW! EVERYONE IS ON THEIR WAY TO SEE HIM! I'M IN THE CAR RIGHT NOW, I'M ON MY WAY TO THE HOSPITAL!" Chimon yelled from the phone. In between those lines, Ohm could hear his friend cursed.
Ohm looked at Bowie. His eyes were red, his lips were trembling and his hands were shaking.
Upon seeing how unstable Ohm was, Bowie quickly hold his hand and gestured him to relax.
"SEND ME THE LOCATION! I'M COMING!" Ohm got up from his seat and took his car keys from the table. He looked at Bowie and said, "I'm sorry! It's Nanon!"
Bowie nodded immediately and gestured Ohm to quickly see Nanon. The girl knew no matter how far her relationship goes with Ohm, nothing could separate Ohm and Nanon. They're practically soulmates.
And the whole world knows that.
