i wrote this chapter in 2023 btw and its been long kept in my drafts and i know we all miss ohmnanon so this is for us barely holding on

Ohm came back with frustration. Not that he didn't think this through when he agreed to partner up with Lengso for his new series. It's just that some people are still in denial and refused to accept the fact that he didn't want to make everything about him and Nanon. He wanted to escape the reality that some dreams aren't meant to last but with what happened at the SFxOhmLeng event just now, he was scared of what might happen to his new co-star.

With people raising banners and chanting his and Nanon's name in one sentence, it just didn't feel right for an event that was meant to be about him and Leng. How was he supposed to act in order to make sure that people are going to forget about his old ship and focused on his new project?

He washed up and put on comfortable shirts to get ready for bed. Texts from Leng flooded on his screen and Ohm went straight to cheer Leng for his accomplishments today.

Well done, Leng! I'm so proud of you! We'll see each other soon!

Damn, sure it hurts to say such things when in fact Ohm would rather do it over and over with his best friend. But that's not what he wanted at the moment and he knew, he wouldn't be happy if Nanon didn't feel the same way. The guy just wanted to focus on his career as a singer for now and what could Ohm do besides than being a supportive boyfriend for him?

As Ohm was about to put his phone down, he saw Nanon's texts appearing. Wishing him a good night.

Ohm gulped his saliva. His throat felt dry. Nanon's whole existence made him feel like home and Ohm couldn't resist it. So this is their new routine now? Busy schedules to the point that what they can only do is wish each other a good night through texts? Now that they couldn't easily be seen anywhere in the public?

Ohm had to hit the call button and hit Nanon up. They exchanged hellos.

"Are you home?"asked Ohm from the call.

There were incoherent noises from at the end of the call with Nanon. "Yes. You?"

"How's your day?" asked Ohm, with his tone a little too serious. Or maybe because he was just tired now that it's almost midnight.

"Pretty good. Meung?"

Ohm sighed. Causing Nanon to straighten his posture and stopped looking for stuffs in his bag. He went straight to his room and laid on the bed as if knowing exactly what he should do upon hearing those sighs from his friend. "That sounded bad. Had a rough day, huh?"

"No. I had a good day actually."

Nanon smiled sheepishly. "I can tell. You have smiles all over your face. Enjoying that event with Leng much?"

Ohm smiled too, embarassingly. He didn't want to deny that he did have a great time earlier with Lengso by his side. Lengso was just like him, the life of a party. But that's the point. Ohm can't compare Lengso with anyone he worked with. It would be unfair for so many reasons.

"Ohm, are you going to talk or are you going to leave me hanging?" Nanon teased as he couldn't hear any words from Ohm.

"Can we just sleep call or something? I'm so tired but I don't want to leave you yet."
