In my soul I know

In my soul

I think I know…

Should I think so?

Or should I think:

At least I’m on the way;

If I do look back

I see all my footsteps

Right beside the ruts

Of your chariot, Jalal ud-Din…

It’s silent in the way

And, sometimes

It’s also silent in my soul

When I come to this coffee shop

And ask for one

The attendant smiles

Cause she already know me

For quite some time…

But then, I suddenly think:

Does she know that I’m a poet?

Should I think so?

Or should I think:

At least I say “thank you”

When the coffee arrives…

Look at all the lovely people

And look at all those blind ones;

Someday they will see, Jalal ud-Din…

And, in that day

Let’s hope they do not blink their eyes

Because in that blinking

In that moment

Eternity could pass away!

I’m, I try to be, an attendant

An attendant for eternity;

And, when the attendant brings me my cup

I say, from the deep of my soul:

“Thank you”;

But, shouldn’t I say:

“I’m you”?

In my soul, I know
