I walk into the café and see midnight sitting at a table. "Is this seat taken beautiful."

She looks up and smiles at me. "Only if your sexy ass is in it." She says standing up to give me a hug.
I give her a hug then we sit down, after we order we get to catching up.
"So how was living with Shota?" She asks lifting a brow.
"It was fine I suppose." I say sipping my coffee.
"Did anything sexy happen?" She asks.
"I mean kinda but not as much as I wanted." I say letting out a pout.
"Oooo spill." She says her eyes lighting up.
"We had a really intense make out session once. He also cuddled with me daily but that was to help with my heat." I said looking down at my cup.
"That's it?" She says astonished.
"Yeah I know right. Other than that he like turned me down everytime." I say a little annoyed.
"Are we sure he likes women?" She asks.
"He likes both." I say plainly.
"That's true he was dating mic and joke at one point." She says in thought.
"What happened?" I ask.
"Well apparently joke cheated on him with some guy." She said taking a sip of her tea.
"And mic?"
"They broke up because they realized they were better as best friends." She said. "But apparently she blamed him for cheating. Saying he didn't show her enough affection who she had to get it elsewhere."
"What a bitch!" I respond a little angry.
"I know! Shota just broke up with her, not even showing any emotion." Midnight finished.
"Woah. I mean I'm not surprised he hardly ever shows emotions." I say sipping my coffee.
"Yeah he hasn't dated since." She informed me.
"Makes since why he is so guarded now.." I trail off looking out the window.
"Earth to lily." Midnight says.
"I'm going back to america." I blurt out.
Midnight looks at me her smile fading, "what?"
"My flight Is Saturday.." I say looking at her.
"Why? Are you coming back?" She asks sadness written on her face.
"I don't know. There's a doctor there I use to see.. he has a drug he thinks can help." I say.
"He thinks this drug will save you?" She asks hopefully.
"Maybe or at least keep me alive a few more years." I say doubtfully.
"That's a good thing right?"
"Yeah.." I say. "I'm not getting my hopes up though."
"That makes since I wouldn't either." She says. "But I hope it works, I want to see you again."
"Me too." I say with a smile. "Make sure to come see me okay! I'm going to miss you like crazy." I say tears pooling in my eyes threatening to fall.
"Anytime I have free time I totally will." She says tearing falling from her eyes.
"God dammit girl I was trying not to cry." I say tears now freely falling. "Come here and give me a hug."
We stand up and hug for a while, I look up
At her giving her a smile. I give her a kiss then pull away.
"Let's have some fun." I say pulling her are as we leave the café.

After about four hours of talking and shopping I head home, saying goodbye to midnight. I get home take a quick shower and wash all my new clothes.
"How was your day sweetheart." My mom asks.
"It was fun midnight and I went shopping and for coffee." I respond giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Sounds like you had a lot of fun, have you started packing?" She asks.
"Some I'll finish by Friday." I say grabbing a cup.
"Could you finish by Thursday? we are leaving Friday morning."She says finished up dinner.
"Friday? I thought our flight was Saturday?" I ask confused.
"Set the table will you." She says. "Our flight is Saturday morning. The airport is over and hour away, and I don't feel like waking up at four in the morning. Being there by six and get through security by 8. Be at our gate by 8:30 and be on the plane by 9." She says sighing.

I nod my head as I finish setting up the table, we sit down. "So are we moving back to New York?" I ask.
"No the doctor moved to ohio, so we will be living there." She says taking a bite of food.
"Oh, Is there a hero job for me there as well?" I ask spearing my tomato.
"Well of course we have it all arranged plus you have a dual citizen ship. So you will be able to come back here once you are healthy if you want." She says with a sad smile.
"Yeah if I make it that long." I say under my breath.
"God dammit lily, don't say such things." My mom says slamming her fork on the table.
"I mean It's the truth. I have four months at most if this miracle drug doesn't work." I say raising my voice.
"Don't raise your voice we are at the table." She says her voice cracking.
I reach across the table and grab her hand. "Mom this is something we have to talk about, we can't keep avoiding the subject." I say rubbing her hand.
"It's just not fair no mother should have to bury their baby." She say tears falling from her eyes.
"We both knew this day was coming, and no it's not fair. Life isn't sunshine and rainbows momma. We make do with the cards life hands us." I say with a light smile.
"Oh baby I'm so sorry. You shouldn't have to console your mother." She says wiping her eyes and giving me a smile. We finish dinner in silence, clean up before heading to bed. "Goodnight, we will do something fun tomorrow." My mom says giving me a kiss on the forehead before heading to her room. I walk into my room and look at the ceiling in the dark till I fall into a dreamless sleep.
