It was Kashish, sitting on her chair, getting ready for her marriage with Piyush. Although she wasn't happy with it but she had agreed for the sake of her family.
[It is set before our hero came to talk with Kashish and Kashish was left to chose between the two boys, where we all know she chose Piyush..Anyways, back to the story.]

She looked into the mirror. She remembered a particular someone. Mind you, that someone wasn't any of her sister or Piyush or her father or mother but that someone was a friend she had long lost. The friend was alive but their friendship was burnt and buried.

"We always used to dream about any one of us getting married and the other being there to help the family. Today, na mere paas Mehek hai, aur na hi tum. Mujhe koi afsos nahi hai, hamari dosti tut gai, yehi accha hai. Aaj, mujhe bhala tumhari yaad aa rahi hogi, par mai khush hu ki ab hum dost nahi. Mujhe uske jaise khudgarz dost nahi chahiye. Ussne mera vishwas toda tha, aur phir bhi apni galti nahi maani. Mai khush hu ki voh yaha se chali gai, aaj bhi mere behene usse yaad karti hai, mai bhi usse yaad karti hu, par sirf nafrat se. Sirf Mehek hi hai jo ki aaj tak bolti aye hai ki woh begunah hai, par mujhe aisa nahi lagta. Ussne mujhse mera pehela crush chheen liya, mera pehela pyar chheen liya tha mere school aur college ke, mai usse kaise maaf kardu? Pata nahi ussne unnlogo ko kya kya nahi kaha ki woh log aage se aa aa kar mujhse apni ya toh dosti tod di ya phir mujhse mere muh pe bola ki voh mujhe pasand nahi karte. Bhagwan ne bacha liya mujhe ki woh yaha se apna college khatam karne se pehele hi chale gai." With this she had put her last peice of jewelry on.
She looked outside to the house next to her house.

"Sabse buri baat yahi hai ki yeh wala ghar tha uska, hum log sirf neighbors nahi the, hum log ek sath rehete bhi the

"Sabse buri baat yahi hai ki yeh wala ghar tha uska, hum log sirf neighbors nahi the, hum log ek sath rehete bhi the. Woh ek tarah se hamari life ka hissa ban chuki thi. Kitne saari memories judi hai uss ke sath. Aaj bhi mujhe uss par gussa aata hai, woh toh abhi kabhi apna final year complete kar rahi hogi, ussne gap year liya tha, aur phir, ghar se kaun bulayega usse meri shaadi mai." With this being said she remembered that this was her wedding, but not with the man she wanted but with someone else who was very caring and loving and a good friend of hers. "Nahi Kashish! Tum yeh sab apne papa ke liye kar rahi ho. Apni beheno ke liye. Ab tum kuch nahi kar sakti. Shayad yahi likha hai mere kismet mai. Mujhe ab yeh nayi life accept karni hi padegi. I have no choice that I can make." She was making herself ready to become Mrs. Piyush Raheja. She looked at herself in the mirror and remembered her older days. (Now, the real story starts! Hope you all like it!)

She was just 3 years old, when they had a new neighbor. Most of these stories were only heard by their parents mouth. They used to say that the moment the two girls had met, Kashish had not liked her. Her new 3 year old neighbor tried to befriend a 3 year old Kashish, but Kashish was missing their old neighbor who was an uncle who used to give her a chocolate every Tuesday and Thurday. It took the two girls only 2 months to become friends. They were going to the same school where they attended their nursery. They had become friends ever since. Kashish's sister loved her too. They all used to behave as if they're of one family. Love surrounded them. They used to say that these two girls were the trouble makers of the entire colony. Their laughs were heard by all passing by. They used to have fun, they used to play day and night. They used to sit together in school, save seats for each other and also save each other from teacher's as well as their own parents scolding.

"Kashish, jab dekho tum dono ki hi galti hoti hai! What is this? Kabhi society wale aate hai complain le ke toh kabhi school wale, kya karte kya ho tum dono? Kashish tum ek professor ki beti ho! Thoda sa sharam toh karo!" Her father scolded her.

She listened to him, her head down. She is currently 10 years old. After listening to his entire lecture, she went out to meet her neighbor.

"Yaar, dant pad gai!" She told her.

"Sorry..mere wajah se padi na..I'm really sorry.." she sat next to her friend and they both ate a chocolate together.

"Sorry kyu? Madad toh maine bhi ki na. Accha chalo, let's go and have fun! Park mai chale? Mehek, Kanan, Charu and Mauli sab park mai hai." They both left to fo to the park hand in hand swinging it.

They used to be happy in each others presence. They felt secure and safe. They both could understand each other. They went to the park and played with the girls. They all were sweaty when the returned home. They quickly sneaked into their own houses and their rooms and got freshed.

They all met outside once again as their families were going out for dinner together.
Dinners used to be fun for the girls. They all used to sit next to each other. Take out all the vegetables that they didn't like and put it in the others plate. It was all fun till the time they didn't get caught by their parents. Everytime they used to get scolded. The effects were seen for the next 1-2 dinners and then back to normal. They used to have dinner together once every month. The girls, always stayed together, especially Kashish and her new best friend, her neighbor.

A tear went down her face. She remembered the early happy times that she and her ex best friend spent together.
