Isabela's eyes flashed in anger as she sent yet another sunflower vine to wrap around your arm. She pinned you to one of the doorframes of casita using her vines. She slowly walked up to you, and you flinched as her striking brown eyes seemed to shoot daggers at you.
"Are you trying to steal the candle?" Isabela hissed, angry sunflowers starting to pop out of the ground, towering over you.
"No! I was trying to protect-"
"Explain it to Abuela." She took you by the arm and dragged you to the nursery.

Camilo, Abuela, Mirabel, and Isabela we're all sitting on Mirabel's bed, looking at you. The candle was being held by Abuela. Camilo was looking at you, his brown eyes confused. Mirabel was sitting next to Isabela, and both sisters had equally hostile expressions. Abuela was suspicious, and you were nervous.
"Why would you try to steal the candle?" Abuela sighed, her dark eyes serious. You looked up.
"I would never steal the candle. And if you think that you're wrong. I had to go there. I had to protect the miracle." You said firmly. You wanted to make sure Abuela understood.
"But there's nothing wrong with the miracle?" Mirabel said quietly. You sighed, exasperated.
"That's the thing. I had a dream..." You explained the nightmare to the Madrigals, and by the end of your story, they were all looking at you with sympathy. All except Abuela.

"I just had to hold the candle. Feel that the magic was strong." You finished. You had your head in your hands, and you were holding back tears.

(we are sensitive okay-)

You felt a light hand on your shoulder, and looked up. Camilo was sitting there, next to you. You couldn't look him in the eyes, you felt to guilty. You started to cry, the tears rolling down your cheeks. You were quiet, but Camilo noticed. He pulled you to him, and let you sit there. Isabela motioned to Abuela and Mirabel, and they all left the room. The door closed and you hugged yourself to Camilo as if he was the last human alive. He put an arm around your waist and pulled you onto his lap.

(Any sexual comments will be deleted.)

You clung onto the loose fabric of his poncho, and sniffled.
"Sorry.." you whimpered, but he just hugged you tighter
"Don't apologize hermosa." He leaned forward and put his chin on your head/shoulder.

(Depends how tall you are <3)

Eventually you pulled away, brushing any stray tears or snot off of your face. You sat down next to him. You extended your hand to reach for a small piece of paper on Mirabels desk. You also grabbed a pencil. You started to sketch. Camilo watched you, confused on what you were doing.
"What are you doing?" He asked, gazing down at the lines your pencil was creating.
"Dunno. Sketching helps me relax." You replied, focusing on the small butterfly you were drawing. When you were finished you leaned against the wall and pulled your knees up. You looked at the stars outside of Mirabels window, and you started to tear up as you remembered. Remembered that night.

"Do you see that estrella?" You giggled as your father pointed to a beautiful glowing star.
"Yes!"
"You are the brightest star in the whole wide world." He smiled at you, and you widened your eyes.
"The whole world?!" You squeaked. He nodded, and waved a hand at the star.
"Say hi to the star, mi vida." You waved at the star as well.
"Hi star!" You beamed at your father, and he smiled back.
"You will always be my little estrella, mi amor. Forever and ever."

(ISTG I CRIED WRITING THAT)

The tears started again. You didn't want Camilo to see, so you started to breathe slowly. You pressed the sketch of the butterfly to your lips, and breathed in and out. By doing so, your breath hit the small sketch. A beautiful orange colour flowed into the butterfly's wings, then black details. Suddenly the antenna of the butterfly peeled off of the paper, and then the head, the body, and lastly, the wings.
"Camilo!" You whispered. He tore his gaze away from the stars, and looked at you, then the butterfly, then the blank paper. The butterfly flew away, out through the window. Confused, you sketched a quick drawing of a cherry. You blowed on it, and the colour flowed into it. It popped out of the paper, and onto your hand. You took an experimental bite out of the cherry, and the rich flavours flooded into your mouth.
"Mariposa. I think you have a gift."
