You had settled into your new home nicely, and you visited la casa madrigal every day. This was the Saturday of the first week that you were living in your new house, and you were about to fall asleep.

They are coming. They are near. Take caution. Protect. They are coming. They are coming.

You bolted upright and whirled your head around. Nobody was there. You got out of bed and changed into your normal clothes. You opened the door and started to walk to the madrigals home. You were met by a bewildered Isabela.
"You okay?" She asked. "It's pretty late." You shook your head and explained to her.
"I need to get to the candle. Please, Isa." You begged her, and she sighed.
"Fine... hold on." She grew a vine, making sure you were standing on it. You held her hands as the vine grew, until you were standing in front of the candle. You dislodged it from its original place, and then hopped down from the vine. You quickly ran to the nursery.
"Mirabel?!" You whispered. She opened the door, and saw you with the candle. She didn't have time to react, because you shoved the candle into her hands, almost burning her beautiful nightgown.
"They're coming." She hoarsely whispered. You nodded.
"I'll get reinforcements." You tried to convince her. She nodded, probably to trying to reassure herself as well.

The family was gathered inside Mirabels tiny room, and you were pressed uncomfortably into Camilo. He squeezed your hand, and you tightened your grip on it.
"We need to protect the candle."
Everyone took action. Pretty soon, there were thick vines everywhere, guarding the entire room, so that there was no way to escape, unless Isabela wanted it. Julieta had made a food supply so Mirabel wouldn't go hungry, and Pepa had arranged a threatening cloud over the doorway.
"Are you sure you're up to this?" Abuela asked Mirabel.
"I am. I have to be." Mirabel said firmly, straightening her back. Abuela gave the family a somber nod, and at her signal, the Madrigals filed out of the door. At Abuelas signal, Isabela grew the final vine that locked Mirabel in. Now it was time to wait for the worst.
