Unspeakable Feelings

"Thank you, please come again next time!"

*Ring, thud!*

A tiny, yellow doorbell rings along with a shop door open as I step out and leave the small, classic wooden store.

My name is Raiken J.

I was an orphan from an orphanage in the village's south. Raised along with the other kids, and when we reached the age of preteen, we were moving away from it.

Along with my best friends Alpha and Josh, we helped villagers hunt and distribute food supplies for years, until we all got separated... in order to look for our true identity as adults, then promised to have a reunion once we had achieved our dreams.

I shake my head. There were good memories of them before we got separated.

And now, I regret staying in the village and getting nothing at all in those three years.

Sometimes I keep wondering, did they already get what they seek? 

Or...

Did they end up being losers like me?

I shake my head again. Think that they will someday come back with plenty of stories being told.

The voice of children playing on the soil, the voice of the familiar woodcutting strike on the left, the voice of the villagers talking, all familiar to my ears, after all this time.

I like it here, as I am living in my comfort zone.

Within a few moments of drifting in my thoughts, I arrive at my destination.

A small, old wooden building with an 'Inn' sign on the right side of the wooden door, and three small flower pots on the left, hanging on a scale made of wood. Blue, yellow, and red flowers are the colors of the flowers in each pot.

I let out my smile at them, and then I open the door.

"Welcome to the In-ah, it's you!"

A voice greets me.
