The Dragon Academy

Chapter 2

Guys I know I left out a few things in the previous chapter and I hope to rectify some of the mistakes.

Coenie, a 17 year old with blackish-brown hair; six foot tall; greenish-blue eyes, after he packed all his things which wasn't much, sat on his bed thinking about all he was told not 30 minutes ago but oddly found it to be awesome that one of his biggest wish actually was real. On the other hand his sister Nita, a 15 year old with long blondish-brunnette hair; five two; blue eyes, still packing all her things thought this must be the worst thing to happen to her.

"Come outside and meet Mr.Summers and Mr.Hawke!"shouted my mom. As soon as I got outside the two men my mom told us to meet were waiting for us and man were they huge, they looked like they had swallowed a bull each. They had necks as thick as small tree stumps, muscles as large as small mountains( I don't know how they fit into their suits and they made that look easy), both had the same hair color, brownish-blond. Theyy actually gave me the impression they were bodygaurds, maybe for a president or a king." Hi I'm Coenie." I said as i held my hand out to them.

"We will be taking you both to the academy and we will be leaving in an hour."Mr. Summers said in a very hoarse voice. Nita at that point decided to say something." If I have to go,I will go only on one condition." She said in a very annoued, angryish tone." I will take one friend, any friend I choose will go with me whether you like it or not."" I'm sorry, but we cannot meet that demand. We came to fetch you and your brother, no one less no one more. I must admit that your parents hid you well from us these past 17 years and as such you will be a little older than most people attending the academy." Mr Summers replied calmly

The next hour went by quickly as I asked about the academy but unfortunatly didn,t receive any answers. I said good-bye to my parents and climbed into BMW, Nita took seat next to mine in the backseat. Mr.Summers and Mr.Hawke got the front seats which didn't bother me at all. After about a few minutes we were leaving my home town of Eshowe and were on the freeway a while later. As we were driving I feel asleep so I dont know how long we were on the road for when we finally arrived at our destination.

Our destination as it turned out was an out-building of sorts. It was a single story,grayish building an over all was uninviting. To top it all of it was in the middle of nowhere.

"Welcome to the portal."Mr.Hawke spoke for the first time,in a slightly deep voice."so where is the academy?" Nita asked, clearly annoyed." Good question," Mr.Summers said," it is through the portal since the academy is on another planet. It is on the home planet of dragons and where you will be the safest."" What is the planet called?" I askes." The planet is called Dragonia since it is also the only kingdom on the entire planet and is ruled by our king."

"Cool so the entire planet is a kingdom. How does the king rule all of the kingdom though?" I asked,wanting to learn everything I can." The king uses reagents on the continents and they have barons, but the king himself rules the middle and smallest continent. The academy is found on this continent." Mr.Hawke said as we entered the building. As soon as we entered my attention was drawn by a swirling vortex pf different colors." The portal," Mr.Summers explained," I can see the looks on your faces,but don't worry it is very safe." He assured us as he saw the absolute terror on our faces.

"Come on, we have to go." Mr.Summers said,"Mr.Hawke will go first, then Nita, then Coenie and I will go last." Mr.Hawke simply at that point walk though the portal, next went Nita and when it was my turn I stopped and admired the colors and the swirling of the vortex until Mr.Summers pushed me through.

I was really lucky I didn't threw up on the other end. I looked at the building we landed in and it looked as if we hadn't gone anywhere, but as soon as I stepped outside my breath was taken away. The rolling hills were the most beautiful and richest color of green. The sky was the darkest blue as if you can reach out and touch it, I could only compare it to the pacific. The trees stood tall as if they stood for millenia and I didn't doubt they stood that long." Welcome to Dragonia. The home of dragons." Mr.Summers said to us.
