I was in a closed room, next to a staircase and a holographic key. I touched the key and out of nowhere, a giant, tall, red man materialised. "Not you!" I shouted. My sword came to my hand naturally. I then fought the man, thrusting him and stabbing him a couple times. But, when we both were barely at our limit, he got engulfed by flames. Suddenly, his clothes became brighter, more... alive. They crept with fiery colours, and my efforts became useless. "No!" I shouted in despair. He had shielded himself with the power of fire. I knew I could do nothing. As my body gave in, he summoned flames around me. It was the end.
"Hey! Lumine, wake up!" Paimon, my trusty companion and emergency food, shook me out of bed. When she noticed my tired look even after nine nice hours of sleep, she asked: "Have you been dreaming of the Spiral Abyss again?" I nodded weakly. "I can't kill the Pyro Lecter. I need Diona or Eula, or maybe Xingqiu to help me. Its shield is killing me." "It's just a dream, relax Lumi!" said Paimon. "It's not like you've been commissioned to clear the Abyss yet." I seemed to relax at that, because Paimon said: "Why don't we get a nice breakfast at Kiminami Restaurant? Then we can go to the Adventurers Guild to get our commissions!" I dressed up, put my trusty Dull Blade on my belt and parted towards Kiminami Restaurant. As my sword jiggled, I remembered the time when Kamisato Ayaka offered me her sword, the reforged Mistsplitter. It was quite painful to deny it. Quite the beautiful sword it is. Kiminami Anna, the owner, gave us a warm welcome. "Traveler Lumine! Good morning! What will it be?" I ordered my favourite breakfast meal: a nice Teyvat Fried Egg. Whilst i ate it, Anna chatted with me. "So, Lumine. Rumor has it you'll be heading back to Liyue soon, for the Lantern Rite event. Will you tell me how it is up there?" She was right. After my arrival in Teyvat, I stayed in Mondstadt for ages. First, I had to clear up the StormTerror crisis, getting to meet the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, Jean, and the Anemo Archon of Freedom, Barbatos, now known as Venti the Bard. I had stayed for a couple months, as I explored the mountain of Dragonspine with the help of Albedo, Eula, Sucrose and Amber, and as the Windblume festival began, an ancient tradition honoring the Anemo god. Venti had taught people how to write love poems. It was worth experiencing. Then, I parted towards Liyue Harbor in the hopes of arriving in time for the Rite of Descension, the one day of the year when Rex Lapis, the Geo Archon of Contracts, came down and spoke to the people. Ningguang, the Tianquang, something like the highest authority of Liyue, was in charge of summoning the god and getting his commercial advice for the year. But yet, when I arrived, and Morax descended from the sky, he was dead. We ran a couple errands with a man named Zhongli to prepare the funeral of the god. It kinda turned out well in the end, we just had to fight some Fatuis, a Snezhnayan diplomatic group, and an ancient god who hated Rex Lapis. Oh, and we were told that Zhongli IS Rex Lapis. Then, we experienced our first Lantern Rite, getting to know Xiao and the adepti better, and we helped the Adventurers Guild with another event named Moonchase. Finally, we left with Captain Beidou of the Crux Fleet and Kaedahara Kazuha for the archipelago of Inazuma, the land of Eternity and Electro. We met Kamisato Ayaka, the daughter of the Kamisato clan and the Yashiro Commission, Yoimiya, a fireworks maker, Sangonomiya Kokomi, head of the resistance, and the Electro Archon, the Raiden Shogun herself. We battled a couple times with her, switching between realities, and after finally beating her, she agreed to change the current state of Inazuma. So now we were living in a peaceful Inazuma, taking our Waverider to navigate between the islands Narukami, Kannazuka, Yashiori, Sangonomiya, Seirai and Tsurumi, for our weekly commissions. I promised Anna I'd tell her about the adepti and the festival, and I went to Katheryne to get my last commissions in Inazuma for a while. "Ad Astra Abyssosque Lumine! Welcome! Your commissions for this week... Here they are!", she smiled. "Oh, give this to Liyue Katheryne. She'll know" she added. There was a Katheryne in each region, I'm not sure how or why, but I took my commissions and walked to the lower town of Inazuma City, Hanamizaka. Detain the Kairagi in Yashiori island, escort the transport balloon from Higi Village to Fort Mumei, destroy some hilichurl camps in Narukami, and... Oh no. No. Seeing my desolate look, Paimon checked out the commissions. "It was bound to happen soon, wasn't it?", she said. Clear the Spiral Abyss, floors 9 to 12. SS-rank commission, for only the best adventurers in history. I sighed. "They give us 15 days to do the Abyss one, and we're leaving for Lantern Rite in 7. Let's call up some friends, they'll help me, won't they?" I said.
