Kailee's POV
It is the first day of 5th grade at a new school. New faces, new teachers, new halls, and hopefully a new start.
I am introduced to the class as "the new student" once again. I hate the stares I get, why do people feel the need to always stare???
Of course, we start the day off with gym class. I used to love gym, back when I was with my friends. Now I am all alone with nobody to talk to.
Halfway through the class, another student comes in. The gym teacher is told she is new and doesn't know anybody in this class. Because he knew that I was new too, he sat her next to me. By the end of class, we were talking like old friends and laughing at inside jokes we had already developed.
2 weeks later
Today Cynthia and I sat with a few other kids from class during lunch. We were starting to become good friends and I hoped I wouldn't screw anything up. When the lunch ladies told us it was time for recess my new group of friends all ran outside.
"Hey, Kailee, if you don't mind me asking, why did you move here?" questioned Cassy.
I don't feel comfortable telling her and the other 7 people we are with why I was moved an hour from my home and was put into another home, so I told her, " My parents wanted a change. They wanted to start over and get new jobs in a place they haven't been to before."
"Oh, that's cool. I have always wanted to move but my parents say that we are fine where we are" says Addi.
"No, you wouldn't," I whispered.
"Did you say something?" asked Cynthia.
"Huh, me. Oh no I didn't say anything." I quickly said.
Finally after listening to my new friends talk about how much their lives suck the bell rang and I was saved.
How do you like it so far? Sorry, that is it moving into it slowly. BTW the setting is Edmore, Michigan.
Updates will be when I feel like it and I am sorry if they are not regular. I will try my best to update on a regular basis and make the story smooth.
