As I walked into the classroom, I couldn't tell if there were people in or not. But I went ahead and tried to open the door, when suddenly a bunch of piled up dominoes fell down symmetrically and the second thing I saw was water falling out of cups. It all happened so fast I couldn't get to process it.
"Happy April Fools!" Taisa said as my face is still somewhat left behind. Taisa is the type of person who is funny about everything and sees life for its true colors. She lives and doesn't care what people think about her. Her big smile brightens up everyone's day. "But I thought we already had planned it out" "Not now Cleo, I don't have time for that shit right now" and that's when Jakob and Cleo walked in. Always drama. There hasn't been a single day that people haven't gossiped about them. They're always on and off, but always find their way back to each other. What would the school Barbie do without her kenn? She's the typical popular girl - blonde, rich, sophisticated and spoiled - and of course, she can't go single because everyone can't be talking about her being single. Honestly I would hate myself if I was Cleo, always tryna live up to people's expectations, that's what makes her so insecure. And Jakob? Well what can I say about him? I don't really know him like that. Nobody really does. There's always some rumors about him - Jakob did this, Jakob did that - but nobody actually knows what the hell they're talking about. All we know about him is that he is of German descent, and he's on the swimming team. "Alright class, time to learn something today" says Mr. Will as he walks in. I must say, he's one of my favorites, you know. He comes in here with this energy of like everything will be okay. He teaches you something that you will carry on throughout your life, and that's what school should be like. Learning stuff that will actually help you do better as a person now and in the future. Not about getting a right answer in a math problem. At the end of the day, I probably won't remember how to graph and solve equations when I'm 26. Or even 20. "Oh, Osmani. Why are we late again..." says Mr. Will, which is nothing new of course, Osmani can never be out of a problem. Dark haired girl with dark eyes as well. Lightskin, and about 5'4 tall. She's the perfect stereotype for the school athletes, but I have never seen her in a relationship or anything like that before. In Johnson Private Academy, everyone has at least once showed off their couple in senior class. Even I did once. But not her. She's weird like that - she sits alone at lunch and doesn't have that many friends. She shows no emotion in her face and wears the uniform inappropriately, if you know what I mean. My freshman year, someone had told me there was something up with her and Jakob. And then I overheard Cleo and her arguing at the bathrooms once, but I couldn't quite understand. I was washing my hands and then Cleo came out of the stall. "What are you doing here?" I don't know if she actually meant the question. But there's definitely some untalked about beef between them. But I always go back to putting my AirPods on, listening to Ariana on shuffle. God, she is truly amazing. I mind my own business because that's the only way to make it through the day in this school.
