When I woke up the next morning I had the overwhelming need to vomit. So I ran to my bathroom, trying to get there before I emptied my stomach. After ten minutes of dry heaving, I sat back against the bathtub, catching my breath.

I shakily stood, undressing, so I could shower. Once I was in under the water, my muscles started relaxing, making me sigh. I wish I could stay like this forever.

Getting out of the shower I went to my sink, grabbing some necessities. I put a band-aid over my eyebrow, and some bruise cream over my nose. Wincing ever now and then, I finished in about five minutes.

I went downstairs after getting dressed. I wore a light blue Walt Disney sweater and some light wash jean shorts.

"Good morning love, are you feeling okay?" I nodded at my mum, grabbing a banana off the counter. "You staying home?"

"Yes, can you?"

"No baby. I've got to get to work. But can I have Max come over? He wants to grab something he left."

"Of course!"

"Okay dear," she kissed my cheek and walked out of the room.

Max was my mums boyfriend, they've been dating since i was about fourteen. He had two children, Tina, who is around my age and Athena who is ten. I've never really been close with either, because they are mainly with their mom.

After my mom left for work, I sat on the couch in front of the tv, and turned on a film. After two movies, and a whole bag of Cheeto's the door bell rang.

I stood up and walked to the door, opening it to see Max standing there. He had a smile on his face and his eyes sparkled in the sunlight.

"Hey Louis, nice to see you again." He said, hugging me. I hugged back and smiled, relaxing when his scent hit my nose. He was always like a father figure, but he wasn't around much because he was a cop and he worked weird shifts.

"Nice to see you. Come in,"

"Can I ask you something, son?" Max asked as we sat in the kitchen. He made some grilled cheese for lunch and we're eating now.

"Yea," I said suspiciously.

"Uh...um...er...can I..." he said nervously, and I could tell what he was going to ask.

"You have my blessing." He looked up confused,

"How'd you know? Did she mention it?"

"Wait what?" He told her he was going to propose?

"I wanted to move in here, with you two. I asked Jay but she said she'd have to talk to you first. But since I'm here I thought I would."

"Oh, I thought you wanted to propose." When I looked up at him, he had a giant grin on his face.

"One day, but for now, can i move in?"

"What about the girls?"

"Well, they'd stay with us every other weekend. If you don't like that, I don't have to move in. It's just we've been dating for two years and I basically live here already and—,"

"It's okay. I'd like to get to know them better. I'd also love for you to move in."

"Oh, thank goodness."

"When we're you thinking?"

"Maybe next week?"

"Okay. Definitely." I grinned, making him give me a big smile. He stood up, hugged me and grabbed my plate to put it in the sink. "I'll finally have another man in the house." I giggled,

"And two more girls," he countered, making my smile widen.

"Sisters." I couldn't wipe the grin off my face all day.
