Chapter 6: "Free"

It was night, the trio has stopped to rest a little. Dmitry was finding his swords and pistols to train Jack for, Elizabeth was sitting beside a fire and Jack was reading a book. Dmitry returned to Jack.

Dmitry: Get up. We train.

Jack: Do we need to?

Dmitry: Now.

Jack: Alright.

Dmitry gave him a sword to train with, Jack got into a stance. 

Dmitry: Alright, not a bad stance, footing is quite alright, the grip is weak I can already see it. Grip tighter. That's better!

Dmitry went 10 away from Jack and raised his shashka.

Dmitry: No we duel.

Jack was the first to strike and Dmitry parried, he also returned the strike, which Jack avoided.  This was repeated for a while until Jack disarmed him.

Jack: Got you!

Dmitry: Not bad, but the duel ain't over yet.

Jack: Huh?-

Dmitry than pushed Jack's hand above his head, turned him around and kicked him in the back, he let go of the sword and Dmitry pointed the sword at his throat.

Dmitry: You actually did better than her.

Jack: Really?

Dmitry: Yes. It isn't surprising.

Elizabeth: Why are you like this to me?

Dmitry: I apologize. Now, Jack, pistols.

Dmitry handed him the single action army. 

Dmitry: Aim at that buffalo skull over there.

Jack nodded and aimed at the skull, he shot the first time, nothing, the second: nothing, third: hit.

Dmitry: Not bad for a starter. But still needs training. The pistol?

Jack gave him back the pistol and both of them went to warm themselves up.

Dmitry: We are in Oklahoma by tomorrow. And we gotta be there quick.

Elizabeth: Right...

Dmitry: Elizabeth go sleep in the wagon, Jack and I will sleep here.

Elizabeth: No it's alright-

Dmitry: You're a vampire and you are literally allergic to the sun.

Elizabeth: ...Fine.

She said as she entered the wagon.

Jack: Where will we sleep?

Dmitry: Logs.

Jack: You gotta be kidding.

Dmitry: Nope. The fire will keep us warm throughout the night until morning.

Jack: If we get a cold it's on you.

Dmitry: Alright.

And then they fell asleep out there. Morning arrived, the first one to wake up was Dmitry, when he was wide awake he went to wake up Jack, Jack woke up groggily. 

Jack: Already?

Dmitry: Yes. Let's go.

They packed the stuff they had there, entered the wagon and started driving. The ride went smoothly with only an outlaw or two interrupting them, Dmitry looted them for money and other valuable stuff. It was 17:26 when they arrived in Oklahoma, he went to the nearest police station to tell him some information.
