"Which way Stephano?" the question asked ever so many times. I have no idea why he asks this. He knows I cannot reply, for I cannot speak. I am merely a golden statue.
After silence, Pewdie automatically starts singing his childish song. "Ole, dule, doff. Kinke, lane, koff. Koffe, lane, binke, bani, ole, dule, doff." He sings, as he does quite often. I watch him with a golden eye as he stops in his tracks. Then he just chuckles and moves in the opposite direction.
"They always expect me to go where I land on, Stephano," he says, pausing to laugh. "But this time, I'll go the opposite."
Pewdie has a child-like voice. He seems to always be happy and never have a care in the world. His hair is always parted to the right side of his face, and he always wears his headphones.
"Let's go in here, Stephano," Pewdie says, addressing me again. I've always wished I could respond, and tell him where to go, but I seem to be frozen in this same position. Pewdie opens the door cautiously, and takes a look inside.
The room is brightly lit with multiple torches, and seems to be untouched. There is only two doors for exits, one of them we just used. There is a desk in the back of the room, facing us. Four silver tables lay to the right of us.
"This is a nice room," the Swede says, looking around. He starts rummaging through the papers, and I sense something is off.
The other door opens, and a man in a white lab coat walks in. He doesn't notice us at first, but when he looks up, he sees us.
"Oh, hello," the man says, gesturing to Pewdie. Pewdie puts down the man's papers, and sets me down to shake the man's hand.
"Hello," Pewdie replies, in his ever so happy voice.
"Oh, um...take a seat. Just let me go grab you a glass of water. You must be parched." the man says, gesturing towards the seat. Pewdie sits down and the man walks out tof the room.
'This seems strange, Pewdie.' I wish I could say that to him. There is hardly any water here at Brennenburg Castle, let alone any silver tables. Come to say, there aren't many people, either.
Pewdie hums a song while looking around the room. It apparently does not seem even the slightest bit odd to him.
The familiar noises of a grunt, which Pewdie calls 'The Bro', ring in our ears. We hear some screaming, then the man rushes back into the room, out of breath and pale-faced.
"My apologies. I could not get to the water before the monster showed up." the man says. "My name is Dr. Kaleb Becker. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
