Chapter 22: Jess talks Rory into going back

The end of the first semester is coming up I have finals this week. I asked Rory to meet me for lunch on campus, and we would walk to the pub. She called me in tears telling me she can't because she had a panic attack. 

She has been getting better she has been sleeping in my arms again and eating better. She has gained some weight back. We even made out the other night, but I stopped it before we went too far. I know she's not ready for that.

She was straddling me and was actually kissing me not the little light pecks she has been giving me since we lost the baby. The first time we make love again is going to be romantic I am just happy to see her smile again and love that she is talking to me again. 

We have been going on dates, yes actual dates. She even holds my hand, slowly I am getting my girl back. Lorelai has tried talking to her she even offered to come back to campus with her. So I called in reinforcements. 

Jess is coming up to spend the weekend with us. Maybe he can talk her into coming back to campus or even making her. 

I don't know the bond they have but she listens to him and he listens to her. He told me he wrote a book and is working at a publishing house in Philly so maybe he can help her return to campus. She has to go back next month well five weeks I have two more finals and I am done. Next semester I only have two classes, so I will be able to help Rory catch up.

I told my parents about us losing the baby so I had someone to talk to and they were very supportive dad told me if I need to delay traveling for a year I could so I could be here with Rory. I haven't talked to Rory about it yet tho. 

I am just glad that little by little Rory is returning to her old self. I think she got upset when I stopped us from going any further the other night but I want it to be special. 

Someone knocks on the door and I stand up and open it. There stands Jess; he smiles. 

"Good to see you again, Finn."

"You as well, Jess. Rory look who has stopped by for a visit."

She smiles when she sees Jess, and she runs over and hugs him. "Hey, there Jess. What brings you over here and how did find out where we live?"

"Well, Ror, your great boyfriend called me and invited me up. Hoping I could talk to you. By the way, I wrote a book, and I brought you a copy." He hands her the book.

"That's great Jess, I knew you could do anything you put your mind to. What does he want you to talk to me about, Finn."

"I know you and Jess have a special bond and that he will get you to understand because he is just blunt. So I am going to meet the boys for drinks at their place while you and Jess go and have dinner at the pub. I love you, Rory never forget that. I will be back in a couple of hours have fun, sweetheart." I kiss her and leave.

"So, Rory Gilmore living in a condo with her sexy Australian boyfriend. Nice place Miss Gilmore. So, he didn't tell me everything just that something traumatic happened and you have been going to therapy but still can't step on the University campus."

"Listen, Jess, it was really traumatic, and since he called you I guess it won't be bad to tell you everything as we drive to the pub."

"Alright, let's go." They drove to the pub, and Rory began telling Jess everything. 

"So, almost four months ago right after school started I had been feeling really tired even when we saw you in Stars Hollow, and then I got sick I thought I had a stomach bug. Then I realized I had not had my monthly cycle since we had been in Australia and was like two months late. Finn went to the store and bought tests. I was pregnant we don't know how far along."
