I walked outside carefully not to wake up my family or my neighbors. "¡Buenos días, (Your Name)!"

A voice from behind me said. I jumped from the sudden noise but would know that whispering voice from anywhere, it was Dolores.

"What are you doing up so early in the morning?" She said. "¡Hola Dolores! Sheesh, you really scared me, jaja. Anyways, I couldn't rest, and I didn't wanna toss and turn for hours. So, uh, what are you doing up??" I said a bit concerned.

"Oh! Me? I'm just... cleaning, yeah cleaning! The casita's a mess so I decided to tidy it up a bit when everyone was asleep! And a bit was because I heard Luisa's eye twitching all night." She said with a squeak.

I felt bad for her, her gift hearing everything in the Encanto. But the good thing was her room was a bit soundproof.

"Oh, look! 7 o'clock!! I have to wake my familia up!! I'll see you soon! ¡Adiós!"

She'd been acting weird around me for the past week or so, was I doing something wrong? We've been friends ever since kids I hope I didn't do anything that would make her uncomfortable...

Dolores's POV
I was sitting outside at the table, waiting for everyone to come sit down.

"Why do I feel so weird around her? I shouldn't be feeling like this. But, I can't keep my feelings to myself right?? I have to tell her. But how...?"

I heard a sudden gasp from behind me, it was Mirabel!! Why didn't I hear her?! I guess I was too caught up in my feelings to hear Mirabel coming.

"You're in love?!" Oh no!! "Shush Mirabel! Someone may hear you! No one can know about this okay?? Do you hear me...?" I said.

"¡Dios mío! Um... Okay! Are you going to tell her?!" Mirabel scream whispered.

"No! No! I can't I'm too scared to tell her! What if she doesn't like me back? Huh??" Mirabel shushed me and said "Stop always thinking the worst! What if she does love you back? I mean you can't hide these feelings forever one day she is going to find out, ya' know."

I can't believe I let this happen...

"Mirabel, what are you doing? You made a new dress? It's very beautiful."

Mirabel turned to me, "Actually... it's for you!! Surprise! This is the dress you can confess your love to (Your Name) in! It's great ain't it, I also got some flowers from Isabela that you can give her. No need to thank me."

"That's very nice Mirabel but I did tell you I don't wanna confess, besides I don't actually know how to confess... So... maybe, just maybe, you could help me with that?"

"Of course, I'll help you! You are my prima after all." I was relieved.

"Gracias, Mirabel. You're the best prima anyone could have." It was true. She was there for everyone. "Now, Dolores! Why don't we make a pretty dress for her, too, huh? Oh! And! We can make my Mamá make some arepas or cookies for her, too!"

Mirabel took my hand and ran to the kitchen, where Julieta was.

"Hola, mija y Dolores. ¿Hay algo que quieras?" Julieta said.

"Actually... yes. There's something we need. Mami, could you please make us a few maybe a dozen arepas and some chocolate chip cookies? ¿Por favor?" Mirabel begged.

"Oh? What's the special occasion? Is it somebodys' birthday?" Julieta questioned. "Yes!! Wow! You guessed it! So, are you going to make them?" Mirabel asked. "Si. But it'll take some minutes so come back later."

To be continued in a day or two. I'm kinda lazy, but I'm working on it right now.
