Not moving and barely breathing, the two little mushrooms sat listening to their mother who was telling them the story of the Enoki Mushroom. The tale of the Enoki Mushroom was the most famous story of all in the small town of Shattake. The story is based on a young Enoki Mushroom who saved his town. Whether or not it was true or not we'll never know but it has still gotten passed down for generations. Knowing the story of the Enoki Mushroom was considered a rite of passage in Shattake town and anyone who didn't know it was considered the village weirdo. That would've been you a couple of minutes ago had I not told you so you're welcome.
