She woke up with puffed eyes and a pink nose that shined under the peak of light from the sun that beamed through her slightly opened curtains.

"Cyprus?" She called out in a tiny voice, a few seconds later a large Cane Corso jumped on her bed and nudged her with his head "good morning, my handsome protector," she whispered out kissing the large animal on the side of the head before she slipped out of her bed and walked into her ensuite.

She turned on the shower and pulled clothing out from her drawer.

A few minutes later she hops out, flash backs of the time she took 20 minutes in the shower flashing threw her mind making her whimper.

She patted her body dry before pulling her hair up with the towel allowing it to sit atop of her head while she changed into the ripped jeans and tank top she slipped into before covering her body with a loose baggy white jersey.

Walking out she sat at her vanity, apply small amounts of make up to her face to cover the red blotches and puffed red under eyes. She sprits herself in some Rihanna nude before slipping her covered feet into a pair of black and white Jordan's.

"Come on boy, time for breakfast" she smiles as the dog happily jumped off the bed and followed her down to the kitchen where the rest of her family sat.

"Good morning everyone," she whispered out, lowering her head the keep her from panicking.

"Shut up loser," her elder sister cackled throwing a piece of her toast at Evie.

"Evielyn, sit down and shut up before I beat you into silence," her father hissed as he stared her dead in the eye with a crazed a look.

"Yes father," she whimpered out taking her place in between her elder brother and mother.

"Goodmorning princess," both her mother and brother whispered both kissing each side of her heart shaped cheeks.

"Oh enough with the babying! She is 17 for fuck sakes!" Her fathers voice boomed over the dining table slamming his fist against it as the silverware and glass clinked together.

"Roman! That is enough," her mother roared at her father, finally having enough of her husbands antics after 17 years of Evielyn being born "you have tormented her ever since she was born! She is a straight A student, never brings the Police home and abides by our rules, the least you could do is cut her some slack before you regret it." Her mother seethed staring her father in the eyes as the man held a livid and psychotic look.

She coughed before picking up a beautifully ripped peach and standing "if I may?" She whispered, her father flapped a hand at her dismissing her from the table.

Taking the opportunity, she hooks her school backpack and runs out the door with lightening speed.

"Dear lord, please protect my mother from my father and send me...my saviour," she whimpered knowing the punishment for raising a voice to her father but also for making other people stick up for her.

A flash back of the time a guy in public had stuck up for her and threatens to call social services on her father...only the stranger earned himself a one way ticket with the Charon.

She continued to walk towards her school with a skip in her step. The sun was shining and the sky was bright blue, her favourite colour. She presented everyone around her with a polite smile and a soft "Goodmorning".

As she walked past her favourite bakery, she smelled the freshly baked goods and the divine smell of coffee. It just seemed to wiz past her at the right time as her tummy made a gurgling noise.

"Come on, then you hungry beast" she grinned to herself as she made a quick stop.

"Goodmorning, welcome to Starbucks! What can I get for you today," the cheerful cashier beamed, making Evie take a little step back.

"Uh..yes goodmorning..could I get a v-venti white choc mocha, p-please" she murmured.

The cashier looked at her confused before asking her to speak up a little bit louder.

"A V-venti wh-white choc m-mocha please" she squeaked out, the cashier beamed at her before taping at the screen.

"Anything else?" She asked looking directly at Evie who shrunk back a little.

"A-and a double ch-chocolate chunk b-brownie, two c-cinnamon buns, and 1 ch-chocolate croissant please," she added "cool, and that was it?" The cashier asked getting a quick nod from Evie "perfect, your total is $19.32 cents"

Evie pulled out her wallet and gave the cashier the bills "Thank you, here is your change!" The bright cashier smiled, Evie took it and placed the rest of her change into the tip jar "thank you ms." The young cashier smiled gratefully "y-you're welcome," Evie whispered offering the lady a small smile before she sat and waited for her food.

After a few minutes her name is called she grabbed her lunch and stuffed them into her bag, pulling out one cinnamon bun to eat while she walked the rest of the way to school.
