After a long day of class, Y/n and the rangers were currently on Rayquaza patrolling Poni island. As they landed to rest at the Pokemon center, a shiny Claydol appeared in front of them. Y/n recognized it as Shin's Pokemon. It then gave Y/n a letter that says he's needed at Kalos pronto.
Y/n agreed as his friend normally would come to ask for help himself, if he had to send one of his Pokemon to ask for help then it must be serious.
After arriving at Kalos, he was greeted by a rather... odd sight.
Shin was currently ducking behind some cover as slight maniacal laughter could be heard. This caused Y/n to sigh as he knew who was the source of it.
He didn't have to look far to see a old friend of of his, a fellow aura guardian but from a different class and is a rare few that uses a weapon. In this case, a pair of pistols using aura as ammo. She was firing at grunts wearing red. Soon the grunts were knocked out cold.
"Really Kotonoha? Must you be this trigger happy?" Y/n deadpanned as he walked up to to her.
Kotonoha is form cardfight vanguard
"Oh come on Y/n, you know these punks deserve it." Kotonoha shrugged.
"Ugh, your're hopeless you know that?"
"Meh." The female guardian shrugged at his comment.
"Now that miss trigger happy calmed down, mind explaining the situation?"
"It's team flare, or what's left of it." Shin explained. " They plan to continue their late leaders wish to use the powers of Xerneas and Yveltal to change the world. They even plan to capture Zygrade so it would't interfere with their plans."
"Great..... so what's our next move?"
"First, we're currently in Geosenge Town since Shin forgot to mention it in his letter." Kotonoha said as Shin let out a sheepish laugh. "Their base is hidden here, and in them is the sleeping forms of Xerneas and Yveltal in different levels."
"Some your group that's been said by your teacher sent is already raiding the base, why not join them?" Shin said.
"Alright, let's do this. The soon we stop this nonsense, the better."
They soon went into team flare's base with Shin and Kotonoha leading the way, soon Y/n saw one of his group members Isabela fending off a group of grunts with Tyranitar.
"Isabela! Knock them into the air" Y/n called out as he sent out Darkrai.
"Understood! Tyrantitar, you heard him! Earthquake!"
The armor Pokemon roared before slamming it's tail on the ground, the created a shock wave that sent the grunts in the air.
"Dark void!"
Darkrai created a purple and black ball in its hands. It then fires it at the grunts. A pink bubble appears around the grunt's body that soon disappears and makes them fall asleep.
"Phew, thanks leader. They kept coming like bug type Pokemon." Isabela said as she wiped some sweat from her brow.
"Don't call me that, i'm not like Riser and you know it." Y/n said with crossed arms slightly annoyed.
"I know, i'm just teasing. Iseult and Igraine were right, it's fun teasing you."
"I know right?" Kotonoha chimed in with a smirk.
"Oh shush, the both of you." Y/n said annoyed. Giggles and a chuckle was the responds he got.
They soon turned to a large machine that the grunts were protecting, the sleeping form of Xerneas was attached to it. Before anything else could happen, it began to glow. Soon the Pokemon of life was awakened in a large flash.
But it soon knelt over, showing that much of it's strength was sapped by the machine. Most of the group looked at Y/n who sighed, he then pulled a cherish ball and lightly threw it at the life Pokemon.
1...2....3 and Ping. And with that, Xerneas is caught.
After sending the cherish ball to his parents, Y/n led the others to the lower levels of the base, soon they saw Ravel fending off another swarm of grunts with her Flareon.
Y/n then had Darkrai sink into the shadows before appearing behind the grunts.
"Dark void."
Darkrai once again fired several purple and black balls at the grunts who were caught of guard and could't dodge. Soon they and their Pokemon was asleep.
"You okay Ravel?" Y/n asked as they approached her.
"I'm fine thank you." Ravel thanked as she recalled her Pokemon. "I'm glad you came just in time, i was beginning to be overwhelmed."
"No prob, now for Yveltal...."
They turned to the machine that has the sleeping form of the destruction Pokemon, it then glowed brightly before Yveltal awoken in a flash of light.
Like Xerneas, much of it's strength was sapped my the machine. Y/n wordlessly threw a dusk ball at Yveltal.
1...2..3 and ping. And with that, Yveltal is caught.
"Y/n, one of the grunts mentioned their new leader captured Zygrade and is at the lowest floors." Ravel said.
"I see, then luckily i have a salutation for that."
Y/n then brought out what is known as a snag machine, a device that's able of turning any Pokeball into a snag ball. There capable of capturing a Pokemon belong to another trainer. Palutina had taken it from the organization that buit it and gave it to Y/n as a "just in case"
"You guys find a way to release the energy taken from Xerneas and Yveltal without blowing this place sky high, i'll deal with this so called leader of theirs."
They nod as Y/n went to the bottom of the base, there he saw someone high ranking in a cloak.
"So.. your the fool that dares stand in my way? Your meddling ends here, come Zygrade!" The cloaked figure sent out the order Pokemon.
"Regice battle time!"
"Dragon pulse."
"Ice beam!"
Zygrade fired a dragon pulse at the iceberg Pokemon who dodged and fired a ice beam at the order Pokemon who was struck head on. It then began to freeze over.
"No!"
Y/n then charged up a dusk ball before throwing it at the frozen legendary.
1...2..3 and ping. And with that, Zygrade was caught.
"Im -impossible!" The man stuttered as the master ball that once held Zygrade exploded.
Isabela appeared and was at the cloaked figure in a blink of an eye, she then punched him hard enough to sent him to the wall. He then fell to the ground, clearly unconscious.
"Good news Y/n, we managed to slowly release the energy into the air. But it'll take a few hours to fully make sure." Ravel said as she approched.
"That's good, let's relax in the Pokemon center in the meantime, i think we all need a break."
The others nodded as they teleported to the Pokemon center, as they chatted as why wauted for their food, Y/n could only wonder what the future will hold as the journey continues.
