Betrayed

Chapter 17

Nevaeh's pov*

Mom came and got me and thankfully dad (Taylor) was no longer there. We went home and got our outfits together for Easter Sunday.

We walked into the church and I saw many faces I didn't know. I walked around with my parents and made sure my outfit looked good. I saw six familiar faces and I smiled so wide it started to hurt.

"Mom can I go hang with Jen and Jared?"

"Sure just come find us when the service starts." I walked carefully over to Jen and Jared but tripped because if these stupid heels. I was ready for a face plant but I noticed Jen caught me.

"Thanks."I said blushing out of embarrassment.

"No problem. Jared saw you and was about ready to come talk to you." When she said that it made my heart flutter.

"He was going to come see me?" I asked.

"No your brother." She said sarcastically.

"Shut up!" I said hitting her playfully.I walked up to Jared and smiled at him.

"I'm as tall as you in these heels." I said putting my elbow on his shoulder. I wobbled a bit before steadying myself.

"You can barely stand." He said with a gorgeous white smile.

"Yeah mom made me wear them." I said looking down at my shoes.

"Here hold my hand. I could help you." He said with a smile.

On the outside I was was smiling, on the inside I was doing the pee pee dance because I was so happy. I grabbed his hand and almost fell over from the shock that just went through my body.

"Careful there." He said gripping my hand a little tighter.

After church was done our parents decided to go out to eat together. I sat in between the twins and Benjamin sat across from me.

We went to a cute little restaurant called Jackie Blues. Jared and Jen got the same exact thing but didn't want to share.

We were just ordering desert when I had to go to the bathroom. I ordered and excused myself.

When I left the bathroom Jared was there waiting.

"Hi?" I asked/said.

"Hey I just wanted to get this out of the way so..." He said stepping closer to me.

He grabbed my face and gently pulled it to his. He gave me a little kiss on the lips. It wasn't longer that two seconds but on those two seconds I almost fainted.

When he let go I fainted. Last thing I heard was "shit!" and I was out!
