chapter 3: Little sister Lola

When we arrive at his house Ace opens the front door and motions for me to go inside. I walk in with him right on my tail.

I turn myself to him and raise an eyebrow, silently asking him where to go. He smiles and guides me through a door to the bathroom.

I sit down at the edge of the bathtub and while he gets the emergency kit, I look around a bit.

It's clean and decorated with colored towels and a big shower in the corner. The sink is against the wall opposite me.

Ace turns to me and sits next to me. He gently grabs my wrist and starts carefully wrapping a bandage around it. He looks at me with concern. "Say when it hurts okay?"

I nod my head and he continues with wrapping the bandage with so much concentration, the tip of his tongue is sticking out from between his lips. It's kind of a cute sight.

"So uh, how have been?" I awkwardly ask. He looks up and I'm surprised by the emotion in his eyes. It only stays there for a second though, before it's gone.
He clears his throat. "I've been good. What about you? Moving to an entire new country must have been hard to adjust to."

I look away from ace. Truthfully it was hard. Missing Ace like that broke my heart slowly piece by piece as time went by. I had to forget about him to get over him. Seeing him at school like that just brought so many memories back, it was overwhelming. "Yeah it was but I managed to build a life there. It wasn't complete without you though. Right here with you? This will always be my home." I smile at him.

His eyes light up and he quickly engulfs me in a warm hug. "I've missed you so so much Lizzy, you have no idea." He softly whispers into my ear. I melt into his touch and gently wrap my arms around him, careful not to hurt my arm any more than it already does.

We stay like that for a while before Ace slowly pulls back. "What about a movie and some popcorn?" I excitedly nod at his suggestion, and stand up pulling him out of the bathroom.

After I take of my shoes, I make myself comfortable on the couch. Ace disappears into the kitchen and returns with a bag of popcorn a few moments later. He plops down right next to me and throws an arm over my shoulder pulling me closer to him. I blush and snuggle into his chest.

It's crazy how comfortable I feel with him already. honestly I thought it would be awkward talking again after all this time, but it's just like when we were kids.

We watch the movie he put on in silence, just enjoying each others company. About halfway through I hear the front door open.

"Acey Acey!!!! Look I'm a tiger!!!! GRRRRR" a little girl with tiger stripes and whiskers drawn onto her face skips into the room while imitating a tiger. Aces' mother follows behind her while smiling at the little girls' antics. Ace laughs and looks at me. He must have seen the surprise and confusion on my face because he lets out a cute laugh and then introduces tiger girl to me. "Lizzy, meet my little sister Lola, and you already know my mom."

I smile at them and introduce myself to Lola. "Hey Lola, I'm Lizzy, a friend of Ace. Nice to meet you. And it's good to see you again Anne." I rest my chin on the palm of my good arm.

Anne looks at me with shock, but it's quickly replaced with a huge smile. "Oh honey it's been so long! When did you get back?"

I shyly smile "about a month ago. I've been settling in and I already have another best friend I met a few weeks ago."

Anne grins and claps her hands in excitement. "I'm gonna bake some brownies to celebrate this!" She turns around and runs into the kitchen.

God I've always loved her energy. I smile and turn myself to Lola.

Lola looks me up and down before jumping on the couch next to me. "I've got a few questions. One, what are your intentions with my brother. Two, have you watched my little pony? Cuz if you haven't, you either watch it this instant, or I want you out of this house RIGHT NOW. And three... what hair products do you use? Yours is gorgeous!!"

I chuckle at the questions before answering. "Well Ace means very much to me ever since we were little. We used to be best friends and I hope we can become that again." Not true, I might want a little more than friends but nobody has to know that.

Lola nods at me urging me to go on. "Of COURSE I've watched my little pony! What sane person hasn't." Lola looks at Ace with a happy expression as if to say 'See, everyone has to watch my little pony. If you don't you're craaazy'. Ace rolls his eyes and sticks out his tongue. She huffs and looks back at me as I think of the answer to the last question.

"Hmm I don't know the name of my hair products but I'll bring some next time I'm around yeah?" I finally say. She grins at me and jumps on my lap.

"Okay you can stay, I've decided I like you!"

Okay so here is a new chapter, finally!
I tried to make everything make sense but maybe there are some things that don't match with what they've said before. So for that sorry. But I'm tired and too lazy to read everything through again and I promised to post the chapter yesterday... if u see such error though, comment and I'll correct it. Oh yeah and I decided to change my name so now I'm ash:) don't ask why I just wanted to.
