Gerard POV
The way she moved in her sleep was kinda cute, she would turn this way then that, then she'd find she liked the first position she'd liked, and she'd go back to that. I took a nap for about ten minutes, and when I woke up she was sitting up staring at me. "Hey," I said, but she just kept staring, then her wings grew out they were green like her eyes, and she spoke but her words didn't seem to come from her mouth. "You did this to me, now I'm going to suffer every night just like you! I'm going to suffer for what you did!" Then in an instant she bashed me against the wall, and I died."Holy!" I woke up saying, I found myself in the chair slumped down in an uncomfortable position, my wings outstretched, and my tail was around the chair almost tight enough to break it. "You okay?" Ali said as she walked in the room with a glass of water in her hands. "I woke up to get some water and I heard you screaming, do you do that in your sleep?" Her words seemed comforting, but the dream I just had ruined that comfort. "Nah, only when it's a nightmare, why?" I said. Why did I tell her that I had a nightmare? Now she'd think I was a wimp. "I don't think your a wimp I still have nightmares, but mine are more like memories of two years of my life." Her laugh surprised me as if she hadn't lost two years at that maniac place.
"So you know." I said, ever since he'd woken up he'd been sending me his thoughts, poor guy he needed to get his head straight after what he dreamed about. "My head is straight, I just I heard the police when they found you, one of them showed the new guy your, mementos." His words shocked me but they made me angry at that cop, then his face struck a curious look. "What?" I said giving more edge to my voice. "Nothing it's just, I like the way your heartbeats when your angry." He kinda creeped me out, but it made me think of his heartbeat, and when it beat in my chest it was different more calm than mine. "Alright I'm going home, and thanks." I said grabbing my bag. His face changed to a more questioning look. "About what?" He asked.
I walked out the door, and turned around right where a large, and small indent were, that's where I fell asleep. "For saving my life, thanks for saving my life. I'll see you tomorrow!" I yelled, when I turned to look at the cabin he was leaning in the doorway. "Oh and," I said as he looked at me with a smirk. "Get a shirt on!"
Her remark about my shirtless-ness made me a little uncomfortable, but it told me that she was looking at me to notice that I had no shirt on. "I didn't mean it like that!" She yelled as she followed the red string back.
Alright, I'll leave the rope there if you ever want to visit. I sent her.
Sure, okay I'll see you after school tomorrow. She sent.
See you tomorrow, I sent her.
Tomorrow. She had ended the conversation, the odd conversation in my head was ended by a teenage girl who just got bonded to a dragon about a week and a half ago. Wow my life was definitely not normal.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was walking down the long hallway out of my room, that lead to the stairs when Jack and Elena jumped from their room, and stopped me in my tracks. "Whoa careful, if you want to give me a heart attack you could have just told me, I could just collapse again." I said joking around, but they kept their rough exterior. "Is everything okay?" I asked now becoming completely uncomfortable with my situation. "We have news," Elena said looking down at her brother, then they nodded and they started to smile the widest grins on the planet. "Your mom's here!" They yelled as they grabbed my hands and pulled me down the staircase. Their words were still processing in my mind when we made it all the way down stairs, I just stared as the sweet familiar face turned from her sister, my aunt, to look into my eyes.
"Ali, oh look at my baby. Your gorgeous." My mother said as she walked over to me, she combed through my hair with her fingers. "Mom." I said as I brought her into a warm embrace, her heart, I felt her heart beating. As I realized this I also realized that I felt all of the hearts in the room, it was more like hearing them, but they sounded distant. I helped her get out, like a present. Gerard sent me, and I smiled as my mother began to examine me, making me turn around and all. "Mom how did you get out?" I asked as I sat down with my mom on the couch. "Well I was just better, the doctors called it a miracle because my treatment stopped working for a while, but then I just started talking, and doing normal things." The mention of her getting better instantaneously reminded me of Gerard, he got my mother out early, how could I thank him. Thank you, I sent. Your welcome, he sent back after a few minutes. How can I repay you? I sent. Just stay safe, and don't stop visiting. His voice comforted me, it felt like my own but even more warm and comforting. Done, I stopped sending to him, and began a conversation with my mom, not even bothering that it was a school day.
