Cassandra and I have been together for a month now. It's been so amazing with her. This is her first relationship so she's pretty shy. But it's okay, I try my best to make her feel comfortable around me.
I was in the library, reading a book. I was sitting on a comfortable chair, in complete silence. Until I heard the door open. I raised my look from the book and saw my girlfriend there. She walked towards me.
"Hey, everything okay?" I asked.
"Yeah, I just came to ask if you could.. come to our room and we could fall asleep together" She said and held my hand but pulled it away.
"No, no, you can hold my hand" I said and held her hand.
She smiled.
I got up and we left the library. We walked to our room, holding each others hands.
When we arrived, Cassandra let go of my hand and laid on the bed. I did the same.
I tutned to Cassandra. She was staring at the roof.
"Cass?" I said.
"Yeah.." She said.
"Wanna cuddle?" I asked.
"What does it mean?" She askedand turned to me.
"It's like.. holding someone close and showing love" I said.
"I-uhm.." She struggled with her words.
"It's fine if you don't want to" I said softly and touched her arm.
Cassandra took a deep breath. I could see she was nervous and shy.
"We can try it" She said.
I smiled.
I pulled her close to me. I felt how she started relaxing on my arms. I caressed her back and gave a little kisses to her.
"This actually feels nice" She said.
"Good. I want you to feel safe" I said.
"Look sorry, Y/n/n, for being so shy and not being able to try anything with you. I just haven't been in a relationship before" She said.
"It's totally okay and I understand. I think it's good that we don't try things too fast" I said.
"But-" Cassandra started.
"No but. I love you, were you shy or not" I said.
She scrunched her nose and snuggled into my arms.
"You're cute" I said.
She looked at me and then my lips. She kissed me.
"And I love you. Thank you for taking care of me, love" She said.
I smiled.
I let her rest in my arms as long as she wanted. Then she fell asleep. I put a blanket on us. Her arms were around me and she was hugging me tight. I think she found a new favorite thing.
