It's been a week since I last went to Belle, so I decided to go... I kinda feel bad for just ditching out on her last time. I only stayed for twenty minutes, if that, last time. My appointment wasn't till twelve thirty, and it's only eleven, so I had almost an hour to kill.
After thirty minutes of doing nothing, it was time to go. I wheeled out and dad helped me into the van. My mom looked back at me, "Hey sweetie... How are you feeling?" I tilt my head, "Okay..." She nodded and turned back around, "If there's anything you need or want to talk about, just let us know."
'Okay... Mom acting weird: check.'
I look out the window as dad started the car and pulled out of the driveway. I sigh and put my earphones in as we get onto the main road. We get stuck in traffic and my mom looked at the clock, "I should call Belle and tell her we'll be be late." And she did. After ten minutes of standstill traffic, it started to move. I was expecting construction: but it wasn't, it was an accident. A yellow Camaro was in the ditch, off the side of the road: and a blue truck. We passed the Camaro and I looked at the license plate number: it seemed eerily familiar. I shrugged it off and closed my eyes and listened to my music.
We finally get to our destination and I wait for dad to get me out: and I started rolling towards the entrance, opening the door. I roll in and my parents follow behind. I sighed and rolled to the door and opened it: my parents, I guess, would just wait wait there. I went in, my head down slightly. She stood and smiled, "Hello, Elsa... I was beginning to think you weren't coming back." I swallowed hard, "W-Well, I'm here." She grabbed some stuff and went to the La-Z-Boy and sat, "So, how've you been?" I shrugged, "Good... I guess." She nodded and wrote stuff down, "Anything happen recently?" I bit my lip slightly, "I-I don't know... We got stuck in some traffic on our way here... There was a crash and one of the cars looked familiar: and I don't know why." I looked down and played with my hands: another thing I do when I'm nervous.
After an entire hour of talking, it was time to go. "Well, Elsa, I hope to see you again soon." I nodded, "Okay." I turned and wheeled out: my parents were both smiling at me, "Ready, Sport?" My dad asked, and I just nodded.
We were on our way coming back, when we passed the accident: the Camaro and truck still there. As soon as we got home, I hurried inside and turned the tv on, turning it to the news... I had just missed the report. I went to my room and grabbed my laptop and went online and searched for the news. The headlines read: 'Young college student, Hans Fredricks, severely injured in car accident.' I frowned and slouched in my chair. Hans' father owned a major business company: so, it was a 'big deal' when anything happened to the family. I put my laptop back and rolled out to the living room; my parents looked at me, "W-We heard what happened..." I shrugged, "He always sped... It was bound to happen at some point." My mom nodded and my dad got up and grabbed the keys, "It's still early in the day... Let's go out and do something." He winked at my mom and I nodded. We got back into the van and headed out. We drove for about an hour, "So, sport, remember that puppy you wanted when you were little?" I smile slightly, "Yeah and you said I couldn't have it or any other puppy because I didn't need it." He chuckled, "Well, guess what." I looked at them, "Wait... You're gonna get a puppy?" Mom laughed a little, "Correction, you're getting a puppy. We think it'd help." I tried not to smile, "D-Don't you think I'm a little too old for a puppy?" My mom turned around and grinned, "You're never to old for a puppy." I finally smiled. She turned back around, "We're going to pick it up tomorrow: you get to choose. Dad went and got the supplies yesterday when you were still asleep." I grin and looked out the window.
We grabbed some food: Wendy's, and returned home. I watched some tv and wrote on my blog and finally went to bed. Finally, for once, I had something good happen. I had wanted a puppy since I was little, but was always told no because of sports and stuff. I was finally able to fall asleep easily.
