Maybe it was the warmth from the sun, possibly the fact that I didn't sleep very well last night. Or perhaps it was Dan's embrace. But I found myself being nudged off of Dan's shoulder, as I had fallen asleep. I wipe my tired eyes and look up at a smiling Dan.

"Did I really wake you up that early?" He asks me with a giggle.

I stretch my arms out to shake out the sleep. "I'm sorry I guess I didn't sleep too well last night." I confess. "I planned on sleeping all day today."

"Well you need some caffeine. I brought some tea, just in case." He said pulling a thermos out of his backpack.

"You really thought of everything." The warm breeze runs through my hair and pushed Dan's back into a quiff which made me laugh at his big forehead. This time I stop myself from hiding my teeth in my hands.

Dan pours the warm tea that smelled of cinnamon into the lid of his thermos. "Watch out, it's still hot." He hands it to me me with caution, being careful not to touch my hands with the mettle. I grab the bottom which is covered with rubber. It's refreshing and different than any tea than I've ever tried before.

"What's It called?" I ask.

"The tea?"

"Yeah."

"Cinnamon chai. Don't try to buy it anywhere, I got it from amazon, it's crap if you but it anywhere else." His arm is still around my waist. "You missed the end of The Fault In Our Stars."

"Can we watch 'IT'?" I check my phone and the time shows that its almost 2:30. I have loads of time to waist, as I finished most of my homework the night before. "I've read the book."

"You like Stephen King?" he asks hopefully.

"Yeah."

"Aw I guess we're both book nerds." He giggles.

I laugh too "I guess we are." He removes his hand from around me and walks down the hill to get the movie that he had thrown to the side before. Then Dan runs back up and plops himself down beside me. This time keeping his hands to himself, and pops the movie into his laptop. He hands me the other side of the ear buds and we inch closer to one another.

It's the middle of the film and this is when it starts to get kind of scary. I cringe at the gory visuals and clasp my hands together tightly. Dan senses my fear, or he just happened to be looking at me when I started to get scared, and he placed his arm around my waist once again.

'Why didn't you do that earlier?" I ask.

"Do what?" He teases.

I do a double take from Dan, to his arm placed around my hip, to the movie and back at him. "Are you not scared?" I say leaning into him.

"No, I've seen this way too many times for it to be scary. It's just cheesy to me now." I didn't realize that he was slightly tense until he let out a breath and relaxed a bit.
