Only at Night (Moondrop x Reader)

Ch.1-Looking for a job

     Y/N clicked through job applications. All had been turned down. He didn't understand what was wrong with him, why couldn't he get a job? He turned off his laptop and decided to go to bed. Before sleep, he opened TikTok and started scrolling. He comes across the account of his favorite pizza place, The Mega PizzaPlex. Y/N read the words across the screen. He couldn't believe it, they were hiring!

   Y/N quickly rushed to his computer. He perfectly filled out the application for the very last open spot, a nighttime janitor. He let out a long sigh as he turned off his laptop and laid back in bed. He tried to rest but he couldn't stop tossing and turning. The job application made him so anxious. Finally, he was able to drift off.

  In the morning Y/N  had forgotten about the application. He started off with his normal morning routine, breakfast, shower, and back to job searching. After searching till noon Y/N gave up for the day. He swore he had applied to every job in the city. Lunch was all he could think about. While eating breakfast and scrolling through Tiktok he got an email. He was about to swipe it away when he read the title. "Mega PizzaPlex Job Application Accepted" 

  Y/N almost jumped out of his chair. He instantly clicked on the email, reading it as fast as he could. They wanted him to come in for an interview tomorrow. Y/N almost couldn't contain his excitement. Not only would he finally be getting a job, but HE WOULD ALSO BE WORKING AT HIS FAVORITE PLACE!

  The next day Y/N dressed in his nicest clothes and headed in for the interview. Anxiety washed over him. He couldn't stop thinking of the worse side of things. He was called into the head office almost instantly. They asked many question which Y/N answered to the best of his ability. The interview was finally over and on his way out, the manager shook his hand and said he was hired. 

 After almost punching a kid out of excitement Y/N went home. Instantly he spread the news to all of his friends and family. All night he was jumping with glee. In the morning he got an email from the manager. His first day would be on Saturday. It was currently Wednesday. About five times a day till then Y/N would make sure he had everything ready. It felt so slow as if every minute was actually an hour.

  The day finally came, Saturday. He was told to come in a few hours early to get toured around the PizzaPlex and to meet all of the animatronics. Roxy was a little weird, Chica was sweet, Freddy was friendly, Monty was cold and closed off, and Sundrop was playful and energetic. Though Sun had a weird rule about the lights staying on. Closing time came around and it was time for Y/N to get to work. 

  A few weeks had passed and it was the middle of winter with many blizzards. Power outages were pretty common. It happened many times when Y/N was working, but never in the daycare. Now Y/N's favorite thing was to hang out with Sundrop. They would have fun conversations and even play games sometimes.  

  Y/N walked into the Daycare to clean like usual. "Hey, Sundrop!" He said while he entered the room. Sundrop jumped up with glee. "Y/NNN! You're back!!" Sun ran over to Y/N and hugged him tightly. He laughed a little. "Let go~, I have to clean." He looked up at the giant robot. Sun looked sad but understood. He slowly let go and started coloring. 

  Y/N was sweeping the wooden floor around the security desk when the light flickered off, on, and then off again. He looked up at the lights. 'Not again' he thought. He hoped the lights wouldn't be off for too long. Y/N wanted to check to see if Sun was ok. He didn't know what would happen to Sundrop with the lights off.

 "Hey, Sun."  Y/N turned around. He looked at where Sun was when the lights were on and he wasn't there. He instantly thought that maybe he was just scared of the dark and went to hide. Y/N turned back around and started sweeping again. He was just vibing when he felt something wrap around his waist. Before he could react he was yanked up in the air. 

  Y/N started struggling against the rope... or wire... or whatever it was that lifted him up. The wires only got tighter and pulled him farther up. He felt hot breath on his neck. "I wouldn't advise that Y/N." He started struggling harder. "Who the fuck are you and how do you know my name?!?!" He screamed at the creature. 

  "I can't believe you don't recognize me." Suddenly Y/N was flipped around and then faced the monster. He recognized the eyes almost immediately. "S-Sundrop?" His voice was filled with fear. The creature laughed. "Not quite, but close. It's Moondrop now."
