Only at Night (Moondrop x Reader)

Ch. 1.3 Awake

   Y/N gasped for breath and quickly sat up. Pools of sweat coded his face. After frantically looking around he noticed that he was still in the nap room of the daycare. "Phew, it was just a bad dream" he said to himself.

Y/N slowly crept out of bed and walked to the door. He could see that the lights in the daycare were out. Almost instantly Y/N back up out of fear. 'This can't be happening he thought

Y/N realized he left the door open when he saw red glowing eyes shine at the daycare. Y/N froze in fear. 'No no no no no no no.' Was all he could think. He frantically looked around the room for a hiding place. The red eyes shined closer.

Y/N decided to hop back in bed and pretend he was still asleep. Just as he did that he heard the door creak open. "Moonrise~ are you awake?" The raspy robotic voice echoed. Y/N didn't dare to move. He heard heavy footsteps lead up to his bed. Cold metal touched his back. Y/N started to panic. 'no no No NO NO NO NO!'

   He knew if he didn't act now he would die for real this time. Y/N threw the blanket at Moon's face and leaped out of bed and burst out of the room. "STAY AWAY FROM ME!" He screamed. Moon could only watch Y/N in shock.

  Y/N ran straight to the door and yanked it open. He slipped into his car and drove away as fast as he could. He didn't care about anything else but getting back home safely. As much as Y/N loved working there he never wanted to go back. He decided to message his manager saying he quit and explained why.

  Y/N was too scared to sleep. He stayed awake for the rest of the night, watching tv to calm him down. As the sun was starting to come up he got an email from his manager. Y/N opened it up and started to read it.

  "Dear Y/N,

             I completely understand where this is coming from but we can't let you go. You signed term and agreement papers when you got hired.  You're legally not allowed to quit. If you do we can and will sue you. This is not a reasonable excuse. You must cum back to work.

—- Christian"

  Y/N's mouth was left hanging open. "Can they do that??" He whispered to himself. Y/N knew that if he didn't come back they would come for him.

  He needed a way to get out of this. He definitely didn't want to go back to work. He put his imaginary thinking cap on. "Aha!" An idea popped into his head. His only plan was to not work in the daycare.

  'That's the perfect idea' he said to himself. When the time came for him to go to work he hopped in his car like normal. He cleaned his part of the building except the daycare. He was just gonna lie and say that he cleaned it.

  Y/N had packed up all of the cleaning stuff and started heading out. He walked past the daycare and notice the lights were off unlike earlier. He started to pick up speed when he heard the door open. Something wet and slimy grabbed Y/N by the waist and pulled him into the day care.

  'This is it,' he thought. 'I'm going to die.' Y/N tightly shut his eyes so he wouldn't have to see his demise. Instead of being squeezed to death, he felt his butt touch cold floor and the slimy thing letting go. He slowly opened his eyes and saw moon sitting across from him.

  Y/N started to panic again and was about to stand up when moon sadly said "Please Y/N. I just wanna talk." Y/N decided to listen to moon for a moment but if it looks like he's gonna attack then Y/N was gonna run for it.

  "Listen... I never meant to hurt you. I didn't think you'd get thrown into the wall like that. I-I'm so sorry." Moons voice dropped at the end. Y/N looked at Moon angrily. "Do you FUCKING THINK THAT APOLOGIZING WILL FIX WHAT YOU DID?!" Y/N started screaming. "N-No I..." "I WISH THIS JOB WASN'T SO SHADY AND I COULD QUIT!"

  "Wait... they won't let you quit?" Moon asked. "YES AND NOW MY FUCKING BACK AND HEAD ARE KILLING ME!!"

"Y/N please calm down."

  "NO! IM LEAVING!" Y/N walked out of the daycare before moon could get anymore words in. He left the PizzaPlex as fast as he could. Moon sat alone in the dark for quite a few minutes.

  "You really messed this up huh." Sun said.

"Shut the fuck up Sun. I'm now not going to let you out till morning."

"Nooooo!!!"
