Only at Night (Moondrop x Reader)

Ch. 1.1 S-Sun???

"S-Sundrop?" His voice was filled with fear. The creature laughed. "Not quite, but close. It's Moondrop now."

Y/N was confused. He didn't know what this moon thing meant. Where was Sun? Y/N started to get angry. "What did you do to sun?" His voice was low. "Hmmm? Speak up." Moon pulled Y/N closer. He was close enough to touch Moon at this point.

Suddenly Y/N screamed at Moon. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY BEST FRIEND?" A kick landed right on Moon's chest. The restrains loosened and dropped Y/N. The ground was heading towards Y/N fast. He didn't have enough time to think. He felt something hit his back and everything went black.

Y/N's head was pounding. He felt awful. Something brushed along his face. "Oh what to do? What to do?" Someone passed by. It sounded a lot like Sun. Y/N slowly opened his eyes. The lights were on. Next to him was a ball pit. That's where he must have landed.

How did he get over there he wondered. The security area was on the other side of the room. "OH MY SPARKLES, YOU'RE AWAKE!" Someone rushed over to Y/N. "Are you ok? What happened? Can you walk? Do you need to go home? Need something? I can get yo-" He was cut off.

"H-Hey Sundrop. I think I just need to rest." Sun nodded.

"Moon told me what happened... He didn't mean too." Sunny had sat down next to Y/N, his head down. "He tried to save you by shoving you over here but I guess you hit that wall"

You didn't comprehend a word Sun said. The pounding was too loud. "Sunny, c-can you be quite for a second?" Sun nodded looked up and nodded. After a few minutes Sun spoke up. "I know you wanted me to keep quite but ummm we have a nap room. It's dark in there and you can lay on a bed."

Y/N didn't respond. He didn't want to, he was in too much pain. When he didn't answer Sun, he was picked up. He didn't want to move. He let sun carry him all the way to the nap room. He was layed on a soft bed. It was nice and warm in there.

Soon enough he fall asleep. It didn't occur to Y/N that the lights were off in the nap room. He knew that sun had left by the footsteps. When he woke up it was morning. 5:00 am the clock in the nap room said.

Y/N jumped out of bed. "SHIT!" He screamed. Suddenly sun appeared in the door way, making sure not to step into the room. "Y/N what wrong??" His eyes wide. Y/N looked at Sunny. "It's almost opening time." He paused for a moment "I need to get out of here."

"Wait what about your head??" Sun replied.

"It feels fine now. I need to leave."

"NO!" Sun blocked the door way with his massive figure. "I won't let you leave. What if you get into a crash??? It's not safe."

"Sun, I'll be fine. I'm an adult, I can handle it. I have to handle it."  Y/N started to walk to the door.

"DON'T COME ANY CLOSER!!" Y/N stopped in his tracks. He'd never heard Sun yell before. He didn't even think it was possible. "If you take another step towards the door then I'll let moon out. I'll step into the dark. Please don't make me."

Y/N was confused. "L-Let moon out? I don't understand." Sundrop sighed.

"Well me and Moon are the same. Kinda, not really. We share the same body but that's about all our similarities. When the lights are off I-I turn.... I turn into Moon." Sundrop had a mix of sadness and embarrassment on his face. Sadarrassment if you must.

Y/N didn't believe him. He wanted to test it, but not today. He was too injured. Taking a step back, he laid back down. "I guess I'll stay the day." Sunny smiled a warm but saddening smile. "Good, get some rest." With that being said, he left.
