"Ouch! Bella what the hell?" There were no words to describe the surprise coming from Ben.
"You can't just appear out of thin air after 5 years Ben!" Bella clearly wasn't happy to see the man before her.
He looked stronger than the last time Bella had seen him, his muscles had grown and so had his statue. His hair had been bleached a brassy blonde. Tattoos adorned his face, Charlie wouldn't be pleased about those.
Then again, Charlie wouldn't be pleased about many things - especially this burst of "gang activity" his son had been reportedly involved in.
"Bella. I'm sorry. I know, I should've told you and Dad I was coming back." His tone was soft, if Bella didn't know better she would've thought he was the same boy that left 5 years ago. But Bella wasn't entirely naive, she knew he wasn't the brunette little twerp she adored growing up.
No - this was a grown man, one capable of making his own decisions and choices in life.
"Benny, you're really back aren't you?" Bella knew she shouldn't get attached, he would most likely leave her all over again. But she couldn't help being attached to the boy she once idolised.
"Yeah Bells, I'm back." That was enough to make Bella take a multitude of fast steps forward, practically falling into her brother's arms.
"I have so much to tell you, I don't even know where to start." Those words were what started a 4 hour long rant about Bella's life. The Cullens, Forks High, Jacob Black - the works. Ben heard it all. He wasn't even sure she took a breath that entire time.
"Oh." Ben huffed out.
"That's all you have to say? Please I promise you, you'll love Edward. You just have to come with me tomorrow." Bella pleaded.
"Bella, I don't know if you haven't noticed - but I'm not exactly good with people. Maybe he should be meeting Dad instead." If Ben knew anything, it was that he did not want to meet Bella's stupid boyfriend.
"Charlie isn't exactly approving of Edward.." Bella said almost as if that would convince Benjamin.
"Bella." Ben whined, almost as if he was a puppy not getting their assigned pats.
"Please Benny, it'll be fun - you at least have to meet his siblings. Don't tell Alice but Lily is my favourite."
"Bella I haven't a clue who these 'Lily' or 'Alice' people are. I know they're Cullens but it's not like I know them personally." Benjamin had already started complaining copious amounts despite only being home just shy of 6 hours.
"Ugh, Bella - if you stop talking about the damned Cullens I will meet them. Deal?"
"Deal"
