She dreamt all through the night. About everything she had been through... About Peter. She kept hearing light foot steps and she thought she was dreaming. But then a figure appeared in her room. "Come on." Peter said. And he took her hand and they snuck out the window into the night. They walked to the park and sat on a bench. They stood there staring at each other for a while to process everything. "Hi." He said. She smiled and laughed "Hi." "Hey Tink" he said. My heart was fluttering so fast. I went up to him and kissed him on the cheek. "I missed you so much" he told her. "I've missed you too." She told him. She felt a huge relief. "So why are you here." He said putting each word carefully. "Because... You need to know everything." She said, the words barely coming out. "I'm listening." He said. It was now or never. "I didn't just leave you. I was going to come back for you. Because I wanted to be with you. I chose you. I was going to leave everything behind. And I know I didn't say it but." She swallowed. "I love you." Her eyes were closed and when she look up Peter's face was completely still. It was like he wasn't really there. Just a statue, lifeless. He looked down. "Tiger Lily..." He began. She didn't know what was wrong. "I can't be with you." He muttered. She just got slapped in the face. "Why not?" She choked. "I really appreciate everything... You coming down here. But it's too late." "What? How can you say that!" She spit out. "Everything you just said doesn't really matter. I just felt like... It was me all along. I was the one who would love you. You never would say it or really showed me you loved me back. You wouldn't encourage me and we would always fight. And with Wendy... She always cares for me and we never fight and..." She didn't want to hear any more of this. "I don't want to hear about her. I thought it couldn't be too late. I came here. I came back to tell you the truth and this is how you are?" "Tick Tok is dead!" Tears were streaming down her face. "I never showed you I loved you because I didn't know how. But I came here and this is how I'm showing you. But you don't want me anymore. So now I'm leaving." She got up and ran away. "Tiger Lily wait!" But she didn't look back.
