"I can't, Caleb," Hanna shook her head, lip trapped in-between her teeth as she was looking at the newspaper and the advertisement there.

"You need a job, Hanna. And this one's perfect. It's just selling an ice-cream. You will work with people, but you don't have to make an unnecessary conversation with them. So..." Caleb said, sitting close to her.

Another two months have passed and the bond between them just got stronger. Since they spent all the time together, they knew everything and anything about each other. Each other's habits, favorite things, movies, everything. At the beginning of a July, Hanna finally opened up to Caleb about her bad luck with her lovers. Caleb listened intently. And when the female talked about that bastard Jack, Caleb exploded and cursed at the man. He told her how he would beat him up if he was alive. He admitted that he has seen that man from the start and tried to kick him or warn her but couldn't. To his surprise, Hanna just smiled softly and thanked him. Caleb was so surprised that he couldn't stop the words which escaped his lips. You're so perfect, Hanna. If I could, I would hug you right now. He also tried to make the woman believe that she is not just a body but something more. Much more. He tried to convince her to believe that she just found bad lovers if they were only after her body. Because she was sweet, nice, and funny – beautiful inside out. That seemed to flatter Hanna because she blushed and smiled. Thank you, Caleb, she said softly.

"I still feel anxious around people. I have been alone. Or well, just with you for so long that I don't know how to talk to people," Hanna said, biting her lip once again.

"You will figure it out, don't worry. And stop biting that lip. It's abused enough. You will break it in a moment," Caleb scolded her and instinctively reached out his hand before letting it fall back down. "I wanted to ruffle your hair. Soothe you like that. It sucks, that I can't really do it," he sighed, sounding really sad like always when something like that happened.

Hanna's chest felt like it was squeezed by someone when she saw his sad expression. And she couldn't handle it. She didn't want him to be sad or hurt. So, even though she was really scared about the job, she tried to cheer up Caleb.

"Okay. I will go to that interview tomorrow. By the way, Caleb... I would love a gesture like that," she smiled widely, and Caleb could have sworn that if his heart was beating, it would have skipped a beat.

He was very happy, and his wide smile surely reflected that. "Amazing! I'm sure they will take you and you will love it."

"I... I hope so," Hanna said and couldn't help but smile when Caleb's gloomy expression was exchanged by a happy smile. She really loved seeing the boy happy.
