A/N: this takes place in the Umbridge year btw. Also if something is in italics and between these '' it's thoughts and if it's underline two or more people thought/said it at the same time.
Y/n pov:
It was September 1st and time to go back to Hogwarts. Hermione went to Ron's place, so we would probably only see eachother once we're in the train. I wanted to go too, because Fred and George were my best friends, even though they were 2 years older than me, but I had a lot of homework and I was to lazy to do it before.
Anyways I was in the car with mum and dad on the way to King's Cross. I hoped i could see the twins while we were still on the train, because even though I was a Ravenclaw i still love pranks, that's also why the twins and I became friends in the first place.
We finally arrived at King's Cross, went to get a trolley and put all my stuff in there. We found platform 9 and 10 and ran through the wall into platform 9 3/4. We were still pretty early so I went and put my stuff on the train and got out again to see if i could still catch Hermione or the twins before the ride started.
After a while of waiting i finally saw Hermione emerging from the wall. I walked over to her and we gave eachother a big hug, "Are you gonna sit with me on the train?", I asked. "No, sorry I have to go to the prefect carriage, maybe late though." "Ah right I forgot, you're a prefect now", i said happily, "well it's fine I'm gonna sit with the twins then, see you later!" "Bye!"
I noticed the twins standing beside me, "oh hey guys", i greeted, "Took you long enough to notice us standing here", answered Fred a bit annoyed. I just laughed "well as you can see i was talking with my sister... That reminds me you guys are going to sit with me right?" "Obviously" "Good, Let's go!" "Right behind ya", they said in union.
Once we were settled we just talked about random things. I was pretty tired because I didn't get a lot of sleep since I was still doing homework, yes it was that much (Snape gave me extra because I made a remark on something he said), when the twins noticed how tired I looked they told me i could go to sleep and that they would wake me up if i slept so long that the ride would be over. But, since i know the twins i didn't trust them and only pretended to go to sleep, Incase they would pull a prank on me or something.
They didn't do anything so I just pretended to wake up after half an hour. I closed my eyes so I still got at least some rest in that time. After we talked a bit Hermione came in and told us about the other prefects apparently that git, Malfoy, was one… 'that's gonna be a pain…', i thought
After a while Hermione left and me and the twins immediately started talking about their soon to be joke shop. I was really excited about it since I, like i said before, love pranks and everything that has to do with it. (Including the twins ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))

We were finally at Hogwarts, after a long 10 hour train ride, we went into the great hall, i said bye to the boys and went to the Ravenclaw Table immediately seing Luna, she was my friend since my second year and her first. I sat down beside her and said "Hey Luna how are you?" "Oh hello Y/N", she said in a dreamy tone, "I'm great what about you?" "I'm doing good too thanks for asking!", We talked about what came to our mind till the first years came in, then everyone in the hall became quiet.
Professor McGonagall brought out the sorting hat and it started singing his new song like it does every year, though this time it was different than the other times, there was a Warning in it. After it was done McGonagall called the first years one by one some getting sorted in Gryffindor others Slytherin others into Hufflepuff and others ,the ones where we clapped obviously, in Ravenclaw.
After that Dumbledore started his speech like always but was interrupted by a toad like teacher that i didn't notice before, what i also noticed was that Hagrid wasn't there but rather professor Grubbly-Plank who we had when Hagrid wasn't there the previous year, anyway back to the toad like teacher, she wore a completely pink outfit and had a black ribbon in her hair. She interrupted him with a weird sounding "hem hem" the way it sounded already made me feel annoyed.
Dumbledore continued with his speech thinking she was just coughing but she interrupted him again with it and then even stood up to make a speech herself. She started talking about the ministry i think I stopped listening the moment she started talking.
After she was done Dumbledore finished his speech and we all went to our common rooms.
I already hate Umbridge so I really don't know how I was gonna keep my cool in her class… but hey maybe she isn't so bad and it was just her speech... and voice… yeah no it's gonna be hell.
