Hermione Granger was engaged to her long term boyfriend Ronald Weasley. Hermione works in the ministry under the department for the regulation and control of magical creatures.

It was a week later when Draco had to meet up with his parents again. He was just after finishing his shift and heading towards the door of Malfoy Manor. Draco was walking to the foyer when he heard two female voices and two males.
"Mother? Father?" Draco exclaimed shocked.
Draco stood as still as a statue as he saw who it was. It was his parents and Mr and Mrs Greengrass.
"Draco. Why don't you take a seat." His father ordered him.
"What's happening? What are they doing here?" Draco demanded.
"Watch your mouth boy!! They are our guests. They are here to discuss your marriage to Astoria Greengrass" Lucius said calmly.
Draco was going to say something but before he could his mother stood up from the table and told him to help her with the tea.
"Mother you said that you were breaking this contract. I promised Hermione that I'd get out of it that you would help me. You said you'd help me!!" He shrieked.
"Draco dear I tried to talk to your father but he refused to accept it. He won't allow the two of you to be together. Your a Pureblood and she's a Muggleborn." Narcissa explained to her son as best she could without tearing up in front of him.
"Mother I can't be with her. I won't. I don't love her. She attacked Hermione!!"
"Dear please we will figure this out.....together. I promise. Just for my sake please just deal with them today. Please" she told him pleadingly.
Draco looked at his mother. He loved his mother he really did and he knows that she's never broken a promise before and that's when he know that he could trust her with everything.
"Okay mother, I'll stay for you."

The time did not go fast. It was awful. It's only been an hour since Draco spoke with his mother. He can't stand Mr and Mrs Greengrass. All of a sudden there was a knock on the door. Then the devil entered the premises. Astoria fucking Greengrass. The person he doesn't want to see.
"Draco baby, I knew you would come to your senses." Astoria sat on his lap literally and Draco felt really comfortable.
"Hey Astoria. Thought you were at the Ministry for assault against a Ministry worker." He told her bitter sweetly with a fake grin on his face.
"We'll Draco, Daddy bailed me out I was just a bit annoyed I wasn't told about your fling before we were to wed." She said falsely sweet to him.
"Oh well isn't that just honourable of him isn't it." Draco muttered sarcastically.
Draco was only with her for 5 minutes and already wanted to leave her presence.

Hermione was eager to get back to work because she hated sitting around and doing nothing. She was waiting for Draco to get back from his afternoon with his parents. He texted her telling her he'd pick her up for dinner. They had a date at 7pm. It was now 5:30pm so Hermione decided to go for a bath and floo call Ginny to help with her hair, make up and outfit.
When Hermione came out with a bath robe on she saw Ginnys back facing her placing everything on the bed before her. Now it was finally time to get ready.
