"So what did you find out, Charlotte?" Bella asked on the way to class.
"To say nothing. The Artifacts are such a great mystery. They are hidden all over Darion, but finding them is very difficult. No one knows where they really are. They say the Masters once hid them. And today the Guardians have the most Artifacts to hunt them down." Charlotte said.
"Okay, thank you so much Charlotte," she said gratefully.

Suddenly there was an unpleasant sound. It rang for an hour. Charlotte immediately grabbed Bella's hand and ran down the stairs with her.  When they were almost down, the flames of one of the Rulers of Fire blazed just before Charlotte.  Bella just managed to pull her back around the corner. They were the same Fire Rulers she had argued with. They were adults, but they behave like small kids. This was too much. When he reappears, Bella will show them what an elbow!

"Bella, this was too much! I told you it wasn't a good idea to make enemies out of them!" Charlotte got angry.
"And here it is," Bella muttered.  "The famous phrase 'I told you so!' I was really waiting for that!"

Bella turned her back on Charlotte angrily and went to class. Still, she knew Charlotte was right. She said so. She shouldn't have argued with them, but maybe they wouldn't allow so much for others now. Now she just has to fight them a little.

She turned discreetly behind Charlotte. She saw her still standing on the steps, shaking his head. Bella began to feel really bad. She knew Charlotte was right. She has to do something about it!

...

In a moment they were both in class. For the first hour, Control the elements. As soon as they sat down, someone slammed the door awfully. It was a man. He had tousled black hair on his head, in which there were faint tones of gray and a murderous look on his face. Everyone fell silent immediately. A chill ran down Belle's spine.

"This is our Elemental teacher. Theory and practice. I've heard he's one of the Guardians. He had the most killed Masters in the last 50 years!" Charlotte whispered.
"There will be silence!"  Teacher shouted, looking straight at Charlotte. How could he hear Charlotte's soft and so quiet voice?
"My name is Peter Nightingale," as soon as he said his name, everyone held their breath. They probably knew what he had done.  "I'm your elemental teacher. You already know I'm one of the Guardians, so - "
"How many Masters have you killed?" one of the students interrupted him.
"In my lessons, students report before they speak! Did you understand?!" he shouted at him.  "We'll learn now. Keep your questions after lesson!"

The student threw up his hands angrily and leaned back in his chair until he slid a little under the table. Bella looked at him curiously. His hands were resting on his chest. The brown anger he felt reflected in his brown eyes, and his longer dark brown hair fell to his face. Bella acknowledged that Mr. Nightingale was overreacting. Would he just say one stupid number, what's up?

Bella turned back to the teacher.  The teacher leaned against the department and said:
"Surely you know that the Rulers of Water can turn water into ice," he looked around the classroom.  Everyone obeyed him. "So, let's try it here. Who wants to go first?"

Bella looked around curiously.  Nobody reported. She thought.  What if she tried? It will definitely come in handy someday. Finally, she raised her hand.
"All right, come on," Mr. Nightingale said, pointing to Bella. As she rose from her chair, Charlotte looked at her strangely, but Bella was always attracted to something special. She wanted to know everything she could.

She came to the sink, released the water, and let her abilities flow. She took some tap water and formed a thin ice wall between herself and her teacher.  Everyone was surprised she could already do it.
"You can build, but can you clean?" the teacher asked her.
"What?" Bella said softly.  Immediately, Mr. Nightingale kicked at the wall, that Bella had created. The wall began to fall directly on her. She just avoided it.
"Oh my gosh!" she shouted in fright. Mr. Nightingale just smiled and pointed to the broom. Bella rolled her eyes angrily and began to clean up.
"No one else is reporting yet? Too bad," Mr. Nightingale said. How can such a person teach?!

Bella frowned at him the whole time. He kept telling her where the shards of ice remained. Bella cleaned up for an hour. She was so upset she wanted to kill. If she had to make a list, teacher Nightingale would come first! She had never met such a teacher.

...

"I don't understand! Why did he break my wall?! I was the only one who went to try it!" Bella said.
"Ah, he's an idiot Bella! Don't think about him. It's after school, so come enjoy it! You're not going to ruin your life like that," Charlotte replied.

Bella nodded in agreement and smiled, but inside she boiled with rage. As if it should explode at any moment. It was enough for her not to kill anyone. It was enough to...
Her murderous thoughts were interrupted by a fire that flew just inches from Belly. She turned sharply. She didn't even know it, she instinctively began to open the bottle of water she had in her hand. Another fire was already flying on her, but she quickly put it out of the bottle with water. The Ruler of the fire became angry and began to prepare for another attack. But Bella was faster. She sprayed water on his face and formed ice under him so that it would fall.

He leaned on his knee to get up.  He walked calmly to Belle without attacking. Bella was still ready to attack, but when she saw that he did not intend to attack, she returned the water to the bottle and waited for what she would do.

He lit a fire in his hands and showed it to Belle. As if to show her he was more powerful.
"You're playing with fire," he said.

"No, I'm playing with the Ruler of Fire, who thinks he can afford everything!" she raised her voice angrily.

"Half the night in the woods closest to school. Where you tried to control your elements. In the clearing," the Fire Ruler said, and left.

Bella looked at him doubtfully. In what clearing? What? Why?

Then she realized. This is a mess.  Headless, she ran up the stairs to their room.
"Bella, wait!" Charlotte shouted at her, but Bella didn't want to stop...
