Catalina POV:

It has been said that, "Of all bitches dead or alive, a scribbling women is the most canine."

Women reader #1 gasps in shock.

If that should be true, then this author would like to show you her teeth.

Women reader #2 laughs.

My name is Lady Whistledown. You do not know me, and rest assured, you never shall. But be forewarned, dear reader, I certainly know you.

Rose Daphne's maid, along with Vivian and two other maids, help a glowing, vibrating Daphne and I out of our extensive court attire and into are afternoon dress. Corset unlaced. Makeup scrubbed. Fake hair unpinned. A precise operation. Hyacinth hovers as Eloise reads Whistledown next to Francesca in the background.

"You absolutely sparkled, Sisters." Hyacinth said in awe of her sisters

The three of us giggle

"I merely simpered and minced in a pretty dress like everyone else." Daphne being bashful

"Not exactly like everyone else." Francesca told Daphne

"She has a point Daphne" I said to her

"Oh, I shall need to go and visit with Penelope." Eloise said with pity "Her presentation was anything but. What was it that the queen called you again?" Eloise asked

"Flawless'" Both Daphne and I responded "Or some such thing" Daphne said again being bashful

"Trust I was astonished Her Majesty offered us, out of 200 young ladies present, a most gracious remark" I said astounded

And if that wasn't the humblebrag of the 19th century...

"Yes, it was quite a distinction" Eloise said "And now 200 young ladies have two common adversaries." She said "I wish you luck, Sisters." She said sarcastically

Daphne and I shift at the thought. 'Cause I knows Eloise has a point.

"Eloise" Francesca warned her

"What? It is true" She exclaimed

"Our Success on the marriage mart influences all of your prospects. We will all need love one day." Daphne said getting all flustered and worked up

And Eloise looks up. Daphne and I are staring at her now

"Indeed, a love as pure as what Mama and Papa once shared, if we are so fortunate." I said " I merely hope I am able to continue such a grand tradition."

Daphne and I clearly feeling the pressure here as Eloise eyes us. Suddenly, Violet excitedly sails in, trailed by a maid who carries a collection of grouse gowns.
