Catalina's POV:
Tonight I company my brother Colin along with the rest of my family except for the younger ones. We were attending some society functions at the Vauxhall some famous inventor was going to display his latest invention the light bulb. We arrived to the event on a small boat it was quite chilly because of the water. Once we got to the dock everyone went there own way Daphne and Mama walked away looking for sutures but most likely that Mama is trying to setup my younger sister with the Duke of Hastings I have not spent much time with the Duke so I really don't have an opinion on him yet but he seems to be a man of his word but also a complete rake. I was currently trying to find my twin brother Colin but I couldn't find him anywhere until I saw him dancing with Penelope. I'm not close with her but she is a very sweet girl who has treated both Eloise and Colin with kindness and the both adore her friendship very much. As I was spaced out thinking about my siblings I was suddenly felt someone fall into my making me fall as well. I closed my eyes preparing myself for the pain that I'm about to feel from hitting the ground but suddenly the person who who fell into grab my waist and turned to where he was the one on the ground with me on top.
"Catalina!" Anthony said panicked because he still has a slight soft spot for me. "Are you okay? What happened? Who is this?" Anthony started to ask question panicked and angry at the guy who caused the incident.
"My apologies lord. I tripped over my own foot and lost my balance falling into this young lady." The mysterious guy said. He looked familiar but I can't remember where I have seen him from. "My name is Lord Sebastian Montagu." He introduced himself with a slight bow.
"I accept your apology Lord Montagu. I am Lady Bridgerton, this my oldest brother Viscount Anthony Bridgerton." I said to lord Montagu as I curtsied introduced myself and my brother who give a slight bow.
"Ladies and gentlemen a most extraordinary event is about to take place." The inventor said getting everyone's attention. "Right this way!" He shouted and everyone made their way over to him.
"Excuse us Lord Montagu we should be joining the rest of are family good evening." My brother said we now and left to go find Mama and Daphne it seemed Colin was also with them and Penelope was standing next to him.
As the demonstration of how the light bulb works was fascinating but I couldn't get Lord Montagu off my mind. I was trying to remember where I saw him and the it hit me. He was the stranger at the opera the one who was doing improper and scandalous things with a woman out in the open. Suddenly I heard Daphne raise her voice say something about not marrying Nigel Berbrooke. I don't blame her he's a creep. I look to where she was standing she was not happy with Anthony so he must've promised her to Nigel gross. Daphne suddenly stormed away Anthony was going to go after her but I stop him by grabbing his are.
"Don't you'll just make it worse let me go talk to her." I said before going after Daphne.
I looked everywhere for he but couldn't seem to find her anywhere. Damn Anthony always has to open his stupid mouth. I'm not worried that she won't come back because I know she will once she cools down but I am worried because there are Lord and gentleman who don't always do gentlemen things they like to take advantage of ladies in distress.
"Lady Bridgerton what are you doing out here by your." Lord Montagu said startling me as he walk closer.
"I'm looking for my sister. What are you doing here Lord Montagu you frightened me." I said taking a step away from him which only made him step closer.
"I happened to be on a walk by myself before I spotted you." He said with a smirk on his face.

"I should get back to my family excuse me lord Montagu." I said trying to step around him to leave but he stopped me before looking at me with a slight more serious look.
"Do I frighten you Miss Bridgerton?" He asked leaning down slightly so he was whispering in my ear. "Or are you frightened by what I might do to you." He said with a slight chuckle as he pulled his head way to look at my expression on my face. Which I was blushing by this point.
"Good evening Lord Montagu." I said leaving him and headed back to my family.
Once I got back to my family I was flustered and my face was slightly red. They didn't seem to notice which I was relieved for because I didn't want to be interrogated by my brother's. I looked up to see my Mama smiling and staring at something I fallowed her gaze and saw Daphne dancing with Duke Hastings. She seemed mesmerized by him and him captivated by her. I could tell that they hadn't released that they had fallen in love with each even if it was just slightly. Eventually the evening came to an end. I didn't run it Lord Montagu again for the remainder of the evening which I was relieved. I was so exhausted that once I got home I barely was able to keep my eyes open long enough for Vivian to get me undressed and redressed for bed. As soon as my head hit my pillow I was out.
